dont expect Fluke performance with this unit, but do expect true reliability and good performance for your basic electrical tasks. Voltage and amperage reading was its first task when i used it for the very first time. it read them accurately and the big readout screen was good for a distant viewing. for its price, i couldn't ask for more. it does its job. i would recommend this product to anyone who needs a basic tester for hobby or garage.pros: temperature reading, price, big readout, pro-quality test leads, seperate alligator clips end leadscons: no back lighting.

has surpassed my every expectation. I build pedals/other music electronics. I don't do high voltage. Capacitor function isn't 100% accurate on small values, but it's def good enough on everything else. auto range is a nice feature. my other (green shall remained unnamed otherwise) didn't last at all, and didn't work as well... given it was more expensive I would recommend this above it. hz feature can measure clock speeds, diode function works great. resistance is accurate on a 47r resistor recently - again good enough for me. the auto shut off - probably saves me batteries as I went through them quite a bit with my other... but it also shuts down on me while using - not a big deal but it'd be nice if you could set the amount of time (perhaps you can). All in all - only two months of use but it is miles ahead of all others I have tried in it's price range.

The meter feels solidly-built and seems to work well. Measurements are repeatable, and seem to be accurate -- as well as I can test. My only complaints are that the flip-out stand is a little flimsy, and the continuity tester is not as quick acting as I would prefer. Besides regular probes, the meter comes with clip-on probes (very useful), a thermistor, and a zipper case. While not of professional quality, it seems well made, and very suitable for the hobbyist -- much better than you would expect for around $30. Highly recommended.

Works OK for the price. Not real accurate. Hey, it's not a Fluke, and your not paying for one

The outer protective case is decent, its not that cheap plastic like things you see on a number of China items.The switch is Ok and has positive stops but a little on the cheap plastic side but not bad. The display is easyread and has a number of nice features. The lead wires are nice and flexible and come with and extra set ofwires with gater clips. and temp probe.Overall I like it and would buy again.

I bought this multimeter but it's not working perfectly. the resistance reading is inaccurate, the capacitor player does not work, the continuity tester does not sound. how to redeem for a perfect device? I live in Brazil but I have friends who live in the USA. Please expect an answer.ThanksNelson Mathias

I bought this meter to replace a $100 unit that died from battery leakage.Overall I like the unit very much. The meter doesn't feel cheap at all and has a nice large display screen.Nice to have both the alligator clip leads as well as standard point leads.The only thing I don't like about the meter is when using the conductivity test function the beep is not a solid tone most of the time. When I put the two leads on a piece of metal the tone is delayed and staticy unlike my previous meter which gave a nice solid tone.

I haven't extensively used all the features of the meter, but it does work great to check voltage and reads pretty quickly, and the auto-off feature is nice. My wife was having problems with the stove in the apartment we just moved into burning things really quickly. So I put the thermocouple in the oven and closed it with the temp set on 400*F... Well the oven ranged from 400 - 518, so it helped us diagnose that the oven was running around 50*F hotter on average. The downside is that the meter only reads in Celsius, so you have to convert to Fahrenheit if that's what you're trying to measure
