Mesqool Projection Alarm Clock with FM Radio, Dual Alarms for Bedroom

Value-priced, multi-functional clock radio with projectable time on wall or ceiling. Great sound on radios and ability to charge phones. So pleased with the one I purchased last year as a gift, had to purchase another for a second grandkid.

I love this clock! I had a Brookstone projector clock and the projector bulb just failed. The Brookstone was so bright I had to cover it at night so I could sleep. This Mesqool has a dimmable display. The lowest setting is perfect at night. The projection is great and is easy to read on my textured ceiling. It was easy to set, is very slim and looks nice on my dresser. Overall for the price I'm very pleased. If it lasts longer than the Brookstone I'll be a happy camper. UPDATE: I had to change this from 5 stars to 1 after some light segments failed to work. I only had the clock for a week and several light segments that displays the time on the face stopped working. The projector still worked, but that's not what I paid for. Amazon did an amazing job of processing my refund in the same day I dropped the box off at UPS with the return label. Kudos to Amazon, but the clock sucked. I'm now using an old clock made by GE that has to be over 20 years old and still works like a champ. UPDATE January 30, 2018 - You're not going to believe this. Apparently companies read these reviews. I was contacted by email by Mesqool and offered a replacement clock. I didn't respond to the email because I thought it might be a scam. Today I received a brand new clock, completely free of charge and not requested by me from this company shipped directly from China along with a personalized letter. Wow! Just Wow! I wish all companies were like this. I plugged it in and it works great. The letter detailed many enhanced features. This company seems to be going out of their way to get our business. If the clock continues to work then it's a 5 star. Customer service is definitely 5-star +.

UPDATE: Gotta give credit where it is due. Mesqool reached out to me based on my initial review about the issues I had with the original clock I purchased. They went out of their way to make sure I had a positive experience with their product and sent me a brand new replacement for FREE. There were even delivery issues with UPS with the replacement but they kept on with it til I got the new clock. GREAT customer service! Liz of Mesqool was extremely helpful. You can purchase this product with confidence that the company will make sure to help you in case you encounter any issues. I purchased this product on the basis of the many positive reviews it had on Amazon. I really wanted to like this and was very disappointed with the product. The clock face is a great size and the projection feature was really neat! I also appreciated its reasonable price point and many of the functions the clock had - like being able to dim the brightness of the display, having 2 alarms that you can set separately, etc. Unfortunately, right out of the box, the clock did not work right. For one, the sound function of the clock never worked consistently. On day 1, I tried testing out both the radio and buzzer alarm settings to see how loud they were and could not get a sound off either - even when I set the volume to the highest setting. I then tried the radio independently. I got some sound off that for a few seconds then it went out completely, no sound - again, even with the volume at the highest setting. So I went to bed that night with the radio and alarm both OFF (I made sure to double check this). Inexplicably in the middle of the night, I was awoken at about 3am by a loud static sound coming from the clock. Not sure where it was coming from since, like I said, the radio and alarms were OFF! The volume was all the way down too. I had to completely unplug the clock to get back to sleep. This same incident happened two days later - after I had decided to give the clock another try. The clock was in my living room this time and thankfully this happened earlier on in the night so no one was woken up. In the living room this loud static sound came on - while the radio and alarms were OFF. Again, the only solution was to unplug the clock. It is worth mentioning that I was able to eventually get the radio alarm and alarm buzzer working on day 3 after going through the SAME EXACT steps I did on day 1. I did NOTHING different. So I'm unsure why they worked that worked that time. This inconsistency in the operation of the clock and also the random static outbursts - especially in the middle of the night - left me very disappointed with this product. I had such high hopes for it too. I returned it today.

This clock-radio is quite a nice update to replace an aging one that was nearing obsolescence. The multifuction buttons took some getting used to but are all quite functional and accurate. The projection is an especially nice feature that provides a clear display of the time on the ceiling or wall, without being bright enough to disturb sleep. The time display is clear and easy to read at a glance. It has three brightness settings so that night-time viewing is not overwhelming and daytime viewing is completely adequate. The lowest brightness setting is still a little brighter than we would like but is not disturbing. One background note: This is the second of these clock-radios that we obtained. The first one was difficult to set up and within a few hours the controls were non-functional (thus the reason for the lower rating for durability). The company was VERY quick to replace it with the one we currently have. This company's customer service is exemplary and for that reason I am still giving them a 5-star rating overall. I believe that this clock-radio will last many years into the future.

After using this clock for 2 months, I lowered my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. The good thing is that I like the projection on the ceiling and it's small on my nightstand. Very frustrating is that the time has reset several times even without a power outtage (and there is a fresh battery installed). It was correct this morning at 7:15 am. Then at 9 am I looked at the time read as 1:15 PM - no power outtage occurred. I would return it if the window wasn't closed. I wouldn't depend on this clock for an alarm. My 20 year old Homedic projection clock is so much better even though the alarm function has been fading - at least the time is always correct and it self-sets when there is an outtage and the time changes from DST to ST. I mainly purchased this because my 20 year old projection radio/alarm clock buttons were failing for the alarm. I wanted the FM radio and that is clear sounding. I tried to set my own radio presets for about an hour but that never worked despite reading the instructions many times (therefore my 3 stars). What I don't like is that if I have to unplug for some reason everything resets to default and all need to be set up again. The battery had been installed so it may work if it's just a power outtage. I'm still not sure if I'll keep it. Another thing which is annoying is the size of the plug - whatever happened to regular plugs!?

A projection clock is a must for me. I often wake up during the night and don't know if it is time to get up and get ready for the day, or if it is 1:00 a.m. I can't just glance over at a standard nightstand clock because I couldn't see it without putting on my glasses. This projection clock is GREAT! It replaced an older one I bought many years ago from Costco. There are several things which distinguish this unit for me: (1) It is very easy to set and change. My previous unit required me to pull out the instruction book every time DST came and went. (2) It is quite bright and the numbers are very large. My whole point is that I need glasses to see and I don't want to put them on in the middle night to see the time. The numbers are large enough that they are very clear even to my very poor eyes. And it is bright enough then during the dawn hours when light is coming into my bedroom, I can still see the numbers clearly. (I would add that the red color is such that it isn't too bright as to be a negative barrier to sleep). (3) The clock itself has nice, large, clear numbers, so if I walk to the bathroom and glance at the clock on my way back to bed, it is very easy to read even without my glasses. (4) I really LOVE the USB port. I was going to have to get a USB extension cord so I could put my Apple Watch on the nightstand while I charged it over night. But instead, I just plug it into the back USB port on this clock and it charges perfectly. I have not used the alarm clock or radio functions and don't intend to, so I can't comment on those.

2nd update Well, it is approximately one month after my last update. This clock just died today in the same way That the previous clocks did. Despite the customer service efforts, this clock is just not worth the price. I need an alarm clock on which I can depend. This is not that clock. First the alarms stop working, then a couple of days later, the display is garbled. This happened with original 2 clocks & with replacement clock I'm sorry to say, But DO NOT BUY THIS CLOCK. UPDATE - original post below: I attempted X2 to get a hold of customer service as requested below. Unable to reach them . However, seller took it upon themselves to send the replacement clock. Unfortunately, they only sent one . We bought two. Still, since I already disposed of the original clocks and had nothing to return … This is good customer service. Thus, the three stars. the replacement clock has been working for three days with no difficulty. I will update this review again if this clock becomes trash as the other 2 did. 2 points for customer service. 1 point for 1 of 3 clocks working. Pros of clock: bright numbers (dimmable - but on bright setting they are enough to act as night light), angle adjustable wall reflection, charging port. Cons: clumsy controls for alarm. Instructions are clear - but way too many steps for setting & resetting. ORIGINAL POST: Alarm clock worked for about 2 to 3 weeks. We purchased two of them, one for me one for my son. It still works as a clock and a charger . It also works to project the time on the wall. But if you need an alarm clock, do not buy this clock. The radio & alarm tone stopped working within a few weeks of purchase on both clocks. The volume is up, and the same thing happened on both clocks; the instructions actually are quite clear, which was surprising. Since we did have the alarms working for a few weeks, and since we know we did nothing differently, it is definitely an issue with manufacturing, not user error. Disappointing - especially at the price.

I owned what has to be the best projection clock ever made. A Timex T736. It projected the time in large and crystal clear numbers on a high ceiling. I was in projection clock heaven. Well after almost a dozen years,.....Alarm 1 stopped working. (Dual alarm clock) Alarm 2 still works. And of course,...Timex decided to stop producing this clock. So I have now purchased several supposedly top of the line or popular projection clocks trying to find a suitable replacement. Thus far,....NOTHING even came close. When I got this clock,...I set the time and the alarm,...then turned on the projection and again said,.....what a waste of money. This clock has to have one of the weakest projectors of all the clocks I purchased. I thought well, this thing will be heading for a spare closet,....or possibly returned to Amazon. Now I am an almost 60 year old man and my eyes are not what they used to be. I now as most people my age wear glasses. And when I take my glasses off,.....the whole world goes blurry. And I learned a long time ago to put my alarm clock out of my reach. This way I have to get up to turn the alarm off. So this clock, with a very weak projector is sitting across my bedroom about 14 foot away. That is when I noticed something special about this clock. It does have the largest and brightest numbers I have ever seen on an alarm clock. As stated earlier,...I have purchased many clocks. Many which advertised they have large numbers,.....but nothing like this. The fact is,....I can easily read the clock from across the room "WITHOUT MY GLASSES ON!" Even in the middle of the night with my sleepy eyes. So to put this review in perspective,......if you want a projection clock just because you want a great projection clock,........look elsewhere. If you want a projection clock as I did because you have a hard time reading the clock at night without your glasses,.......this is your clock. Big, bright display eliminates the need for projection. Now we will just have to wait and see about reliability.

Very clear display, easy to set up, love the projection and most of all an exquisite finish that looks classy with any decor!

Like- numbers are big enough to see. Dislike-if seller has white color will be another choice.

My mum wanted a clock that projects the time onto the roof so she can see the time without having to roll over. This clock projects the time well, even in a slightly lit room you can see the time. But is it worth $80? No. It feels extremely cheap and the packaging instantly makes you realise you should have just purchased it from AliExpress or Timu as you would have saved some money for the exact same item…
