I ordered the wrong one; seller was 100% helpful
I knew I needed one of these just for the bench while I configured the cisco 4200 series AP, and I would be needing to do the same for more APs later. The price was right. When I got it, though, it didn't work. I immediately contacted the seller through Amazon and was given a return authorization within a few hours of my request. The seller got it back and reported that it was OK on his bench. He asked what AP I was trying to power and said it wasn't designed for that series. He offered one that was designed for it or to give my money back. I elected the proper replacement, and it was in my mailbox shortly. The seller said the price difference was insubstantial, and he accepted an even exchange even though I had offered to pay any upward difference. I'm still not sure what the technical differences are, but the description should include that info.

It works, but there's a catch
The Aironet access points suck power (35watts or so with both radios running). Most POE switches don't deliver that kind of power. These things do. But they don't come with power supplies. Somewhere in the fine print it says to use the power supply that shipped with your Aironet device, but because the Aironets are designed to work with POE they don't come with power supplies; you have to order that as an extra. This thing is almost more trouble than it's worth, because you have to find the right power supply and order it, too. I think I should have just bought a 6-port PowerDsine high-power midspan, which is priced about the same as 3 Cisco power injectors + 3 Cisco power supplies.

Great to add PoE to WAP that already had a power supply.
Great way to provide power to WAPs that are going to be way too far for power and are not connected to a PoE switch. In addition, having injected (or PoE) power keeps the cabling easier and clean while making it easier to cold boot the access point.NOTE: for those who are not aware the Cisco AIR-PWRINJ3 is the economical way to add PoE to those Wireless Access Points (WAPs) that already have the power supply. So the proper Cisco power supply (or equivalent) is required and is not included with the unit.

Would be better if they made it clear you needed to buy the power supply separate
I don't mind purchasing the power supply separately but this wasn't available at any electronic retail outlets in Houston. So, i had to wait an extra week for the power supply.

Works like it's supposed to and without a heavy price tag
It works great with my new Cisco 1320 AP. Relatively low price tag and allows for the possibility to use the AP without a power supply near by. This unit doesn't come with the power supply, so you'll have to use the one that came with the AP or purchase a new one.

Does not power any of my 1141N AP
it was offered together with the AIR-AP1141N-A-K9 and says that would power up these models.but the fact is that it does nothing at all.later somewhere in the site it say it only works with the following compatibility: Cisco Aironet Series Access Points: 1100 , 1200 , 1220 , 1230so please clear this doubt and i would rate again.

Not universal.
I bought these to power some EnGenius access points I had bought. These werent compatible at all. So I ended up having to ship them back. They are also rather bulky.

Not working out of the box
I installed this exactly per the instructions included with the product. However, the "Device Status" LED is off, and the device doesn't receive power. I'll be returning for a refund.

pointless with no power supply
Have to agree with this:I cannot comment on the quality of this item as it does not come with a power supply. The advert is misleading and is not clear that you need to buy an additional PSU. So unfortunately I will be sending it backWhat's the point with no power supply!
