Good quality product. Set them where you need them and don’t try to move them to another strap.
The quality of the product seems to be good. I used them to pad the straps while securing a motorcycle on a trailer. They are difficult to put on and remove from the straps I was using due to the hooks but they weren’t my straps so my point is my only guideline would be to install them once and not try to move them around.

Still better than a wear mark from a strap
Little thinner than I thought they would be and the material melted into my motorcycle fairings. They didn't scratch though! Perhaps the CA summers are too hot for it? Still better than a wear mark from a strap.

Prevents straps from leaving marks on boats TTop pipes.
I used these to cover the straps that are on my boats TTop wrap around cover. The black straps were leaving small black marks on my white TTop pipes. I put these over the straps and no more marks.
