My Mom purchased some food-based items when shopping at ‘Modern Bazaar’, an offline store selling all kinds of food products, of Indian and foreign origin. This product was among those purchased.Manufactured by brand ‘Cadbury’ under its ‘Bournville’ range of products, this product is a bar composed of ‘Bournville’ chocolate, the cocoa solids content being 36% minimum, with rum flavour, and raisins (17%).When unwrapped, the bar has an ‘old-fashioned’ feel to it: pre-divided into a total of 18 squares, as if placed onto a chocolate ‘slab’. It evokes a sense of nostalgia.It emits an invigorating ‘aroma’, enticing one to consume it.When tasted, the ‘aroma’ does ‘translate’ into a pleasant ‘rum’ flavour. It is the ‘highlight’ of the bar.The percentage of ‘rum’ included has not been specified under the list of ingredients. It may or may not be ‘flavouring’, but does not come across as ‘artificial’ at all.The raisins are actually ‘sultanas’ or black raisins as known in India. They have been generously provided for, felt in each and every bite as the chocolate is consumed. They are characteristically chewy and complement the chocolate component very well.‘Bournville’ chocolate can be interpreted as plain chocolate with a ‘touch’ of sugar, or bittersweet chocolate, depending on one’s ‘sweet’ tolerance. It has a slightly ‘granular’ feel to it, which actually enhances one’s overall experience.I have had ‘Cadbury India’ ‘Temptations’ ‘Rum & Raisins’ milk chocolate bar, and ‘Cadbury’ ‘Old Gold’ ‘Old Jamaica Rum N Raisin’ bar manufactured in Australia.On the basis of my own experience, I can state that the three bars have a similar product concept, varying significantly enough in terms of execution to be tried out.The bar shall not make one feel ‘boozy’. Caution must be exercised though, and this bar should, ideally, not be served to children. It is suitable for, albeit occasional, consumption by adults.The bar must be refrigerated prior to consumption.It can be paired with a beverage of one’s choice. In my humble opinion, it is best ‘savoured’ on its own.Overall, this product is worth the purchase.

£11.49 price pay six bars with mark price of £1.25 cost £7.50 nowi feel this was a little bit dishonest in a shop you pay the mark price so I was overcharged in this case and please note that the extra cost was not postage that was freeBut review the chocolate was for my mother she is in her 70+ and she said it was a taste of the past and me it was a taste of childhood

Bought a bunch since it's my fav, and all of them are set to expire in two weeks. Disappointed.
