UniFlameF-1614, 5-Piece Bronze Fireplace Tools Set with Crook Handles

I am so pleased with this fireset. It is darker than the photo and I'm actually glad of it. The black cast iron ones were not available when I needed a new set before Christmas so I was pleased at the dark color of the bronze set for which I thought I was settling. It's a very rich, dark brown - not as black as cast iron but not as light as the photo.I was sick of cheaper sets with screw-on pokers that eventually fell apart. This set contains a gorgeous and simple one-piece poker. I adore the style of this set, it's not frilly and even though it's X shaped it's still is very compact and nearly impossible to trip over. The other reviewer noted that the prongs are a little awkward, but after using them once they're a breeze and fairly sturdy.

We previously purchased the Uniflame tools in black, same design, and love them. Needed a second set of tools for another fireplace and found that these tools come in bronze...except they're just brown. There's no hint of metallic coloring. Functionality is still there but will be interesting to see if the paint chips with use.

I should have payed more attention to the reviews. Bronze finish is actually brown paint and scratches extremely easy. Brush bristles are all curved and are pretty much useless unfortunately. Buyer beware and ALWAYS read the reviews!

Fair not top quality for the price. only came with 7 of the 8 bolts required for assembly. Pretty bad when you can't count to 8.

It looks vey nice on our fireside. However, the "prongs" are a little difficult to manipulate for me. The other pieces are fine.

Purchased used save alot of money& we are very pleased. Everything was there. There were minor scuffs & scratches but nothing that stopped you from using them. & nothing noticeable you would have to be looking for them to see them.

Received this set and the finish was flaking off. Very disappointed in the quality. Going to return and look for something else.UPDATE: I ended up giving it another try and got a new set without any problems.

Unit looks nice. All the parts are fine except for the brush. The brush is too cheap. The brush head often unscrews and the bristles have lost their shape.
