I love this product! I have a pixie cut and my hair is becoming more curly as I get older. This worked perfectly around my edges to smooth them out without burning me.

I always wanted to straighten my hair after a short haircut without chemicals. This device gets close enough to the hair without burning you severely like the gold metal hot comb. It has burn protection. The negative ions make the hair shine. You still have to be careful. This device can get very hot at extreme temperature settings. You can still burn yourself with any hot comb/brush. It doesn't matter if they have burn protection. You must use them properly in order to avoid hurting yourself. Don't let this device rest in one area of your head for more than 3 seconds at high temperature, if you're doing your roots or short hairs. I wish I had purchased this item before buying the gold metal combs. I hope it continues to work for a long time.

I liked the idea of this product. I use a regular hot comb and sometimes have trouble getting my roots straight. This comb will work well for some people, but if your hair is as kinky and resistant as mine is, it won't make a noticeable difference in your hair texture. It might actually prove impossible to run it through your hair. The teeth of the comb were small and very close together, so they won't comb through kinky hair easily. The comb didn't work for me so I returned it.

I cannot say enough about this magical hair tool. It has already changed our lives after a quick test run on my daughter's hair.She is 4 and we are black with thick, long, curly hair, just to give you context. I flat iron her hair but it's nearly impossible to get those edges. I bought a mini flat iron which was a step up from the regular sized iron I use but still resulted in unwanted heat against her skin.I was worried about this edge straightener because I felt the little comb parts framing the heating element would still burn her but they don't! I was able to hit all her edges and she didn't make a peep. When I asked her if it was hurting, she said no! I was instantly floored. It also does a good job straightening those edges so that the hair can be styled easily.I highly recommend this product to everyone!

I really have to use this some more to give it a fair review based on function. The equipment itself though is cheaply made. The knob that regulates the temperature is wobbly and appears as if it may fall out at anytime. The comb at first glance looks like it’s made of plastic, but I guess it’s some kind of metal that heats somewhat but not too much, which makes sense since the aim here is to prevent burning to the scalp (this is the main reason I chose this iron) so I won’t complain too much but a little more heat would have been fine. The barrel itself gets really hot. I tried using it for a bit and it takes several passes to see some level of straightening. But as I said I will use some more to make a full judgement.

Love the fact it’s good enough for a traveling bag. Most of all, you can get close to edges without burning yourself. It gets hot enough for straightening out edges. And it can be used on anyone young or old. A great investment for childrens edge’s especially.

My hair is 100% natural and during the summer my edges are uncontrollable LOL. I use this iron every other day to maintain the entire perimeter of my head/hair. Works better on edges than using a mini flat iron.

Does not get your roots. It only really works if your hair is already straight to begin with. I bought this as I am growing out a pixie cut and needed something to safely get to my roots and as close to the scalp as possible. The teeth do not heat up so they are pointless, only the barrel heats up but with guard/teeth surrounding it, the actual barrel doesn't really come in contact with your hair much less straighten it. If the teeth of the comb were to heat up then it would be great but even on the highest setting it doesn't. I am 4C natural an this did not work for me to get my roots or along my hairline, it only really works if your hair is already straight and needs a slight touch up (with several passes)

La verdad a mi no me sirvio de nada! es cmo un mini ferro, tenaza de pelo envuelto por un cepillo de plastico resistente pero es que de verdad no me aplacó ni alacio un solo pelo esta fatal

Great product

It's ok, but certainly nothing special. It does get VERY hot, and it will burn, so don't let the "heat guard" fool you. It also doesn't get any closer to the scalp or to the fine hairs around the hairline than a regular thin flat iron. It's not ridiculously expensive, so probably worth a try, but I would probably order the next size down if you are looking for something to get your edges and roots smooth.

Good product but doesn’t smooth out edges as much as I need (maybe need smaller size?) but smooth out hair enough to work with
