Hard but rewarding
It’s taken me two weeks to get roughly half way through the building process. I’ve built a few of these sets before but this one is by far the most complex and difficult to assemble. But it’s very rewarding, all pieces are always included, nothing missing. If you’ve got shaky hands or you have trouble with gripping small objects, this is definitely not the project for you. You’ll need pliers, tweezers and a small clipping tool like small nail clippers or some sharp eyebrow scissors and A GREAT DEAL of patience. But in the end it’s very worth it, it’s beautiful and detailed. I always get compliments on my completed sets when I have guests around.

Beautiful Model in Miniature
I have made quite a few piececool models in the past and all of them looked great on completion. On opening the box of this one, itself made with precision I was impressed with the clarity of the step by step Instructions in booklet form.Looking at the beautiful ornate detail on the parts you can't fail to be impressed with this model and that's even before you start building it.i would say it's not for absolute beginners(some simple tools are required). I would suggest building an easier model first to learn the techniques of making these and perhaps like me you will be hooked and go on to make more of these as i have. The Sedan Chair is a marvel in miniature sure to impress and I am looking forward to completing it and adding it to my collection.

No tools included.
I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. As you can see from the photos, the kit is presented in a nice box, with almost everything required inside. The box states that the project is for 16+ years, which I’d say is about right. The difficulty level is 4/7 and is supposed to take 4-8 hours to complete. Personally, I think it’s going to be a labour of love and will probably take me considerably longer than that.Having removed a half sheet of metallic parts from the bag, I discovered that it was very difficult to replace since the metal kept bending. I’d definitely recommend leaving everything alone and studying the instructions before opening anything else. Given how flexible the metal is, you really don’t want to be handling it too much. I’m disappointed that no tools are included and I suppose I’ll have to buy the recommended ones, which makes this an expensive item. There’s no doubt that the finished project will look amazing if it looks like the photo on the box but I’m not entirely sure that it’s worth £49.99. Most of the parts can be mass produced. However, the quality of the written instructions, which are supported by diagrams, is excellent. Would I pay £49.99 for this? Probably not but I’m looking forward to making it.

Highly intense model, satisfaction guaranteed
This model is very complicated to make to a high standard. A lot of the parts a small and intricate, needing a steady hand to construct. This is not for a beginner. Having said that it looks fantastic when finished. This gives you great satisfaction when looking at what you achieved. I highly rate this model. I have made over 200 models. This is a 9/10 for level of difficulty. Regards Phil

Good project for experienced metal crafters
Initially perturbed by the name, "Princess Carriage" it turns out that this is actually a great little kit. It's more complicated than some kits my husband has done before and he says it's quite a bit larger than the Metal Earth kits. This is not to suggest that it is easier but that it makes a larger finished model as it uses four large sheets of pieces rather than the more usual two. The printed patterns and coloured pieces add another extra level of detail to the model. We would suggest that it be renamed a Royal Carriage as the word Princess might put some people off who would otherwise enjoy making this model.
