AllVia Progensa Plus Cream - Progesterone Cream Plus Phytoestrogens, Liposome Technology, Clinical Strength, Paraben-Free - 4 Ounces

So I've recently been experiencing hair loss/brittleness, which added to other peri-menopausal symptoms, encouraged me to look into some mild hormonal treatments. I've been using this product for a couple of months and so far so good. It's hard to gauge as I'm taking/doing other things but this newer addition seems to be having an affect. Both facial skin and hair issues, while not eliminated have mellowed out. And while not definitive, when I slacked off for a few days and stopped using it my face totally broke out and I started having more regular/frequent hot flashes. Both things stabilized once I started using it again. So despite the product saying to only use for 20 days at stretch, so that it won't interfere with your menses I guess, I use it every day. I have a Mirena IUD(which may have directly contributed to this whole hormonal roller coaster in the first place) which has kept me from menstruating for the last 10 years...so I'm not really concerned with making sure my period shows up.As other reviewers have mentioned...the smell is not awesome. It smells very plasticy when you first put it on but dissipates rapidly, and ultimately I think its worth it.

I've been experiencing problems with my period for the past year and a half. Not wanting to go on the pill I opted to try out Progensa after reading reviews here on Amazon. I've been using this product since April and have to say I am very pleased. It's done exactly what I needed it to do which is to produce a period. My monthly is back on track thank goodness!

I was ignorant in trying to self-diagnose. I wanted to try and restore my hair loss due to menopause. I read reviews that women had success and this was a nice, low-dose way to promote growth. I was in menopause about a year and a half and now I have not stopped bleeding for two weeks. I finally went to my provider and she told me to stop. I am cramping severely and losing a lot of blood. I am miserable. I truly hope this stops. My provider now wants to do a pelvic ultrasound but she feels that the progesterone has caused this and she wants to see if the bleeding will stop. I wish I would have left well enough alone and dealt with the hair loss another way.

Works great for the menopause symptoms it just doesn't absorb into my skin, so I'm left with a sticky lotion feeling all day.

I have noticed that while using this, my mood is great. When I go off it, as you're suppose to do for a week each month, I turn into a bear. I'm hoping that over time it will build up in my system and I won't be such a grump during that week. I love what it does for my mood and my hot flashes.

Works ok. The pump is a bit difficult to work - especially if your hands are damp. Not sure the pump measures out the same amount each time. Be sure you do not skip a usage.

Loved for Libido increase and decrease of hot flashes. Now way to expensive to use, out of my price range So back to sweats and bitchy
