Love this bag!
I've been shopping around for a new laptop bag for almost a year now. I had some very specific things I was looking for and this bag exceeded all those needs and my expectation. I was willing to pay way more than this bag cost.I wanted a smaller bag w/o an overnight compartment. Let's face it, I'm a girl, the overnight compartment in most rolling laptop bags is not big enough so I had no use for it space. Also my company just switched to Kindles for all of our materials, so I don't carry around training manuals anymore. The space inside the bag is nice, I can put in my cord and wireless mouse and still have room for 2 medium size binders and there's a compartment in the front that will fit a file folder, so even though it's a small bag, it has good amount of room inside. When I have the bag hooked onto the rolling system, I slide my power cord and wireless mouse into the space between (where the raincoat is at) so I can have more room into the bag for travel things (snacks, bottle water - yeah, I know it's stupid by the laptop), this allows me to not have to carry a purse. The other thing I wanted was a detachable from rolling bag to shoulder bag. I use the rolling bag to get around the airport and a shoulder bag when I go to visit clients. It's just easier to get in and out of doors w/ a shoulder bag. I also wanted a bag that I could slide onto the handle of my luggage so I only have to pull around one bag. The bag has small details, like the zippers used to hook onto the rolling system tuck in and hide, so the bag looks sleek and polished when used as a shoulder bag. The raincoat, which I thought I'd never use came in handy when I went to Seattle. It also has a very girly style and color. I got the orange and the color is super bright and beautiful, has a pearl like finish and cream trim. For those not into super bright a co-worker got red and that one is a deep red (no pearl finish), so it's not as bright, but still beautiful. It will fit under a seat in an airplane, if you HAVE to. You'll need to slide it in on its side and about 2 inches of the bag stick out, so it really cuts into your foot space, so only do it if you really need to. On my first trip with my new bag the flight ran out of overhead space and they wanted to check my bag (no way...that will ruin the leather, plus I had my laptop inside are they crazy) so I got it under my seat and I had the window seat

Love this Bag (The Horizontal One)! Like this Bag (The Vertical One)!
I get so many compliments when I roll in to the office with this bag. It looks very elegant and is more stylish than the black nylon bags. It does not hold a lot of items--I can fit my laptop with sleeve and some file folders, calendar, writing pad, etc... without any trouble but it starts getting packed if I try to put a book or two in there. The outside pocket holds my wallet, sunglasses, and keys. Inside pockets for pencils, pens, cell phone, and small makeup bag. Overall, it's a winner and totally worth the money!July 1, 20142nd Review. After almost four years of abusing this briefcase across city streets, up and down stairs, and as a trolley for boxes, it's time to get another one. To the cursory eye, it looks fine and other people would probably keep using it for another six months or so. But if you look closely, some of the stitching is getting frayed and the bottom of the briefcase is coming apart. But I think it's actually a testament to the product that it's held together thus far. I've kicked it, dropped it, stood on it, and my son has hurled it down the stairs. Perhaps I'll try another color but the red is still very eye catching and I get many compliments from colleagues. My husband bought me the new vertical McKlein as a replacement for the horizontal one that I had for almost four years. So far, I'm not as pleased as I was with the horizontal one. Yes, it would certainly go down narrow aisles (airplanes and classrooms) more easily. BUT because there is a smaller opening, it's harder to pry it open to get folders and other things into your bag. Hence, it's also tighter. I will give a follow-up review in a couple of weeks but so far I'm thinking of going to the trash dump and getting back my old McKlein.August 20, 2014I am coming around to my new vertical McKlein but one word of warning: If you are petite (I'm 5'1"), the vertical is harder to lug up and down steps since it's longer. I definitely will go back to the horizontal when this one expires in four years or so.September 2019I didn't realize it has been over 5 years since I got my second McKlein. It's now time to get my third one. It still looks great but the wheel is a bit wonky and the noise drives me crazy. Otherwise, this has been a great product. I've looked at other more expensive products and this one is definitely the worth the money. I am going back to the red horizontal bag.

So Chic and Unique!
I love this bag! I get compliments on it whenever I use it. I love how versatile it is -switching from purse (albeit a large one) to briefcase to wheeled briefcase (almost a suitcase). For a purse, it's huge; my family teased me about the size when I carried it exclusively as a purse, but I'm used to big purses so I didn't mind. It's perfect for a briefcase! It fits my giant Asus 17.6" screen laptop (but it doesn't fit in the interior zippered compartment) plus a giant 3" three ring binder -but just barely. I love the little interior pockets for storing my cell phone, business cards, and lip gloss but I wish there more than just two. As a suitcase, it's very small; maybe more like an overnighter. I got the mint green and I would describe the color as a true mint, not quite a Tiffany Blue. I've wheeled it over cobblestone, cracked sidewalks, and pavement and the wheels have held up (almost a year's worth of use). There are extra converting clips provided but I've managed not to lose one yet. I've found the material to be surprisingly water resistant after wheeling it in the rain multiple times. I would highly recommend this product to the girl looking for a briefcase that's not just another boring black leather briefcase. It's fun; it's different; it will earn you compliments and attention.
