A versatile little compressor
I'm using this compressor to blow machining swarf off of my lathe/mill combination machine. I have coupled it to a hand-operated blow-gun. I chose this unit because it is physically compact but still has an air reservoir. The fact that it is 12V-operated means that I can run it from an old lead-acid battery that I happened to have. One less mains socket taken-up by ancillary equipment. In this application it works really well. About 20 seconds of continual 'blow' before the motor kicks in. A very robust blast of air during that period. Extremely useful for keeping machine and work-piece clear of swarf and turnings. It came with a generous length of hose. This connected easily both to compressor and gun. The system was immediately air-tight, with no need for tape. No loss of pressure when the system is switched-off overnight. Not surprisingly, it is about as noisy as a 12V portable tyre inflator. I'm delighted with it. Sad eh?! Incidentally, a technical question to the seller was quickly and accurately answered.
