elitehood iPad Tripod Stand, 65-inch Height Adjustable Tablet Stand Holder

I absolutely love this iPad tripod stand! It's perfect for my online fitness classes, creating content videos, taking photos, and going live. The 65-inch adjustable height makes it easy to get the perfect camera angle, and it's sturdy, easy to set up, and very versatile. It has definitely become one of my favorite tools for creating professional-looking content. I highly recommend it!

Very sturdy and works well even on the beach and in the wind. The phone stand part is not that great because it doesn’t angle up as high as you’d like. So you have to bend over to look at your phone. I wish the phone part was on top. I’ve been using it for a few months and it holds up well. Much heavier and sturdier than I thought it’d be.

The stand arrived today and was easy to assemble. It seems OK but my concern is with the ball and socket assembly that holds the tablet. The ball is too big for the socket and leaves a 3.5mm gap between the two halves of the assembly. This gap allows the clamp to wobble on the stand. Refer to the photos and videos attached to this review. It doesn't look like it will detach but the wobble is not reassuring to hold my tablet, especially on stage where it can get bumped.

THIS PRODUCT IS VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE, AND STURDY ENOUGH TO HOLD THE IPAD

The iPad mount sits in a ball joint which is tightened with a plastic knob which sits over and tightens a metal nut. After a handful of uses, I tightened - not overtightened - the knob and it broke off the nut. Thankfully, when the knob broke off the nut it was *after* tightening the ball joint, so the iPad was held in place. If I can replace the nut with a wingnut, this will solve the problem. But it would never have happened in the first place if the knob had been beefy enough to survive normal use. The stand itself is a usable compromise between sturdiness and portability/light weight. The spring holding the iPad's corners is strong enough to hold very securely, but it may be a bit too strong for weak users. It's good enough that when the knob broke I felt very disappointed. If the tightening knob was adequate, I would give the stand four stars for economy and usability.

Great bit of kit, seems pretty sturdy. Easy to assemble. Doesn't actually seem to do the whole 180° but it does enough for my needs. Only used a couple of times so can't specify about longevity. I would definitely recommend as the stand raised or lowers via clips instead of screw in knobs. Less items to fall out and go wrong. Also has a phone holder that I don't use but could be used separately on a mic stand for instance.

Short version: An exceptionally good and versatile stand, surprisingly well-built for the price. Absolutely worth the money if you are anything other than the most battle-hardened professional gig musician! Long version: I am a professional musician who has been using two devices — a tablet for music reading and a phone for virtual lessons/rehearsals — and I’ve had to make do with a fairly MacGyver-esque setup for my rehearsals and lessons. This tripod stand massively simplifies my setup. Build quality: surprisingly good for the price. The tubes are all aluminium for rigidity and lightness, with thick rubber feet for grip and to not mar your floor. The clamps to arrest the main shaft in place are housed in plastic knobs but the threads on the screw and in the main part are metal, so no need to worry about stripping the threads due to over-tightening (I have done this before with other, lesser stands). The tablet holder is a ball socket fitting into a plastic housing, but the clamps/screws are again metal, so tighten away! At full extended height, there is a slight wobble to the stand, but it isn’t distracting or dangerous (I use a 12.9 inch iPad, so it becomes top-heavy). The grips for the devices themselves are robust and grippy. Usability: the thing I perhaps like the best about this stand is it has a HUGE height range. It telescopes in three places. At its shortest, it is useful for a desktop setting (I have sitting on my standing-desk, and its lowest setting would be just below chest height when mounted so), and extends so the device is just above my eye level when its on the floor (I am 5’9). To me, this is more than high enough, as I am a violinist and it is important for students/colleagues to see the top half of my instrument when I play. One nice feature that I don’t recall them advertising is that the clamps for the different devices can be swapped (pictures show tablet up top, phone underneath). They can actually be switched around. However, the phone mount is a less sturdy mount, so I wouldn’t try and mount a heavy tablet in the phone mount, though nothing technically stops you from doing so. My only complaint would be that it is relatively sturdy, far more so than its price point would suggest, but if you are a gigging musician who is used to throwing his kit into a chest and tossing that into your truck every night, this likely won’t hold up to that abuse. Such a musician would generally use very specialized, hardened equipment anyway, worth hundreds of dollars. However, as someone who travels to (orchestral) gigs frequently, this is more than tough enough for my needs. Finally, the carry bag they include is purely as a courtesy. It is crap. I have seen garbage bags made of tougher material. In sum, if you are an amateur or professional musician, or simply someone who needs to do video calls and have their device nearby, you seriously can’t go wrong. I am super happy I found this!

Delivery was quick and the product as described. Seems solid and is easy to use. My tablet is quite large and it holds just fine. Hopefully the mechanism securing it doesn't weaken over time but for now it seems good.
