Excellent mid priced watercolor brushes
I’ve been painting watercolor for a little over a year. I wore out the points of the cheap brushes I bought. These brushes are excellent. Especially for the cost. I was considering buying considerably more expensive stable brushes, but bought these on the recommendation of a Painter. I follow on Patreon. The line has a terrific range of brushes. I will be getting a travel brush or two and large larger size sizes.

At first I didn't like these brushes because I was used to Davinci Cosmotop Spin brushes that had more of a stiffness to the bristles. Part of the reason I tried these was because review after review said they were great so I figured they were reasonably priced enough to give them a try. These brushes are very soft and have a nice snap, they always come to a nice fine point after you use them. If you've used stiffer watercolor brushes before you tried these, work with them awhile and give them a chance so you can develop the sensitivity to how they feel when you paint. The more I painted with these the more I started to really love the level of fine detail you can get with them. Watercolor brushes can be ridiculously expensive, especially the Kolinsky sable brushes. As a beginner what brushes to get can be overwhelming. I honestly wish I would've started with these brushes. Silver Brush offers a quality brush for a reasonable price that is suitable for a beginner or an experienced water color artist, great buy!!!

Best brushes ever!!AMAZING!!!
These are worth every cent!!! Don’t waste your money on other brushes like I did. I bought other “name brand”watercolor brushes that artists recommended and wondered why I was still struggling so hard with my painting. These brushes were recommended by artist Karen Rice and they hold so much water and have such fine points I can’t believe the difference and makes painting with watercolor so much easier!!!! AMAZING!!!

A great value at a reasonable price!
I just started watercolor painting as a result of the whole outbreak thing, and although I discovered that it is something I really like to do, I had such terrible brushes that I threw them out after two uses. I did research on better brushes, and although the Silver Brush Black Velvets are not cheap, they came highly recommended from many professional artists. They’re also much less expensive than many high end brands also recommended. I picked a trio of round brushes with pointed tips in smaller to medium sizes. The brushes were delivered with super speed (the initial arrival time was changed from end of April to this coming Saturday, but they were ACTUALLY delivered yesterday (Thursday). All three brushes were pristine on arrival and appeared durable. There’s a learning curve for any art, and watercolor is definitely a challenge for someone like me who is not artistically inclined with paints. I can’t even paint a WALL. Getting to know how much water and paint these lovely brushes each hold is quite the study in patience and perseverance because they’re SO water loving, but that’s not by any means a flaw. They are a pleasure to paint with for washes of color and tiny details alike, and the price of a three pack is pretty reasonable for the great quality. I’ll definitely be ordering more brushes from this company. I’m very pleased and so glad I found something that works and that doesn’t make my inner frugal girl go absolutely insane.

Great for large swatches and…
If there were half points in Amazon ratings, I would give these silver black velvet brushes a 4.5.I was quite curious of these brushes because several the of the artists that I follow had been using them on a regular basis. This was my first time using brushes that have squirrel and synthetic hairs in them. Most of the time, I’ve only used synthetic brushes. These brushes are great for large painting because they can be loaded with so much water/paint. Though, because of that, the brushes do not “snap back” when loaded with watercolor; which is the main drawback for me.Overall, these are indeed great brushes, but I highly recommend them to an experienced hand.

So this is what quality feels like!
I've been attempting to watercolor for the past 3-4 years now and have literally been using kids/big box store quality paints and brushes the whole time. I've had some decent success.I just decided to up my game a bit and get some somewhat good paints and brushes. My goal was to spend under $60 for both. I did alot of research and looked closely at alot of amazing artists that I follow on youtube and instagram. Alot of them used silver brushes.I was a bit hesitant to buy these cause amazon does often carry alot of "fake" items. And I have seen the reviews that people recieved knockoffs. I was dead set on paying a bit more and going to a physical store to pick them up. Then..... Pandemic! All the art stores are closed. So I took a chance figuring I could return if nessasary. The ones I recieved were perfect! Shape was great, and seemed very sturdy. Dont yet seem to be fakes bit then again I'm no expert. If they are fakes im pretty happy with there fakeness.I have literally had to re learn watercolor painting becuse of the amazingness of these brushes. I'msimply not used to the massive amount of water retention and color capacity. It's fantastic.I cant recommend them enough!

My new favorite brushes
I ordered these after seeing so many professional artists use the Silver Black brushes. I really love these. They are very soft, but the point stays sharp, and it holds a great deal of water. I highly recommend, and I've already bought a few more in different sizes.

Amazing brushes
Easily my favorite watercolor brushes I've ever used. I was hesitant to spend money on brushes like this because would it really be any different? Yes! They are way better than standard brushes you buy at your local craft store, even the "professional" brushes at Michael's. They hold the water really well. The points are super fine to get great detail. I'll use these for years to come. I'm very happy with these.
