well, since i'm a beginner, i didn't know any better and looked for what was affordable. mistake. there is only one hook i can confidently use without fear of my yarn being shredded or split. the larger hooks have a squared off edge that splits the yarn, and some of the smaller hooks have jagged edges like splinters that also saw at the yarn. i had to try and file down some of that and paint over it with nail polish to try and salvage the hook. this is an unpleasant experience, and yarn is too expensive to deal with mini knives as crochet hooks. do not buy unless you are going to use smooth plastic cords to crochet with. this is not good for yarn. sorry.

THese crochet hooks are not horrible, but I noticed after my second scarf with the same crochet hook, the finish starting to wear down and make the yarn not glide as smoothly as when I first started using it. That and it now "squeeks" as the yarn moves against the hook which I find a little annoying.

I like them but they are so light. I perfer a bit heavier hook..

While I have to admit I bought this selection of various-sized crochet hooks for a friend, she has said she enjoys having every size imaginable for whatever project she is working on -- and however her arthritic hands feel on a given day. The color make them easy to select, and they are precisely as described.

I lost my 4.5 mm hook and instead of going out into the covid haze, got a whole set of hooks for little more than I would have paid at a big box craft store.Yes, I found the original hook soon after I received the set but now I have a spare ;-))

I have small hand, so I always buy Susan Bates brand. These were not them. Guess they'd be fine for someone with larger hands. Ended up donating them to the Good Will.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for the granddaughter! She loved them. They are colorful and good quality.

I knew there would be no alphabetic markings, but I can match the size with the yarn. Brightly colored crochet hooks are comfortable in my fingers.
