ALTRA Women's Afw1984g Dyani Sneakers

I LOVE these! Altra is the only brand of athletic shoe that does not hurt me. It's not only that the shoes are shaped like my feet but also that they do not raise my heel up higher than the front of my foot. For some reason when I wear shoes that raise my heel, even slightly, they cause pain in the front of my foot. So I own a few pairs of Altras and was wondering if they made a slip-on style and found these. They look good in the photos but I wasn't sure they weren't going to be so modern they were weird. But they aren't weird at all. They are so good looking! And they fit exactly the same as my lace-up Altras. I do see what people mean about the elastic being tight. To me it isn't that it's tight, it's more of a feeling on my skin, you know there's a wide elastic band there. I have some socks made by Champion called Women's 3 Pack High Performance Low Cut Heel Shield Socks. They are the perfect height to put a layer of fabric between the elastic and my skin. And with the socks the shoes feel perfect.

I wear 10.5 and bought that size and was a little big but I kept them.I love the big toe box for my bunionette. These are so comfortable I’m really glad I bought them!! They are really stylish so I don’t feel like I’m wearing old lady shoes even though they are comfy.

I have been have foot issues and these are great. Wear them around the house like slippers for plantar fasciitis. We have wood engineered floors and it is constantly bothering my feet. I wore a brand new pair of these to the airport and a 10 hour day of traveling without wearing them in. Never bothered my feet. True to size. Have ordered them in every color.

I have the Altra Lone Peak running shoes, which are THE most comfortable shoes. I wanted a non running shoe that fit the same, but looked a little nicer. These shoes fit great except.... the band around the ankle was too tight, so I returned them. I saw that feedback in the reviews but thought since I have slender ankles, it wouldn't be a problem. But it was. However, if you are looking for the zero heel wide toe box shoe, the Lone Peak is great!

Nice sock sneaker, but way too wide for me. I have narrow feet but need a size 10 for length. Most all shoe makers assume if your a size 10 that your feet are very wide and do not off a narrow. I always end up having to have to stick with sneakers that lace up.

I fully expected to have to return these, but finally decided they might be worth a try! I can rarely wear a shoe that is a slip on because of my narrow heel . . but I am so glad I gave these a try! Love Altra shoes and hoped maybe the slip on would work and it is wonderful . .(they really snug up around the ankle) I've hardly taken them off since they arrived. .Somewhere between a running shoe and a bedroom slipper!

SO GLAD I TOOK THE RISK OF TRYING THESE.This is my first pair of Altra shoes. The toebox is very large, and it is just what I need for my feet. They fit perfectly and they are very comfortable. I want to wear them all the time 🙂As soon as other colors are available, I will buy another pair.
