I bought this for my 11 year old autistic son. He's had swim lessons, but couldn't get the hang of it. He loves the water though. And outgrew his water wings.He's 4 foot 6 inches, and around 90 pounds, and this works really well for him. He never goes near water without it.Super easy to inflate, and deflate. Seems to be well made too.

Based on your description, a review for the pool float might look like this:I recently purchased this pool float and overall, I'm quite happy with it. My hope was to hold onto it or put it under my arms to keep me afloat so I could swim back-and-forth and just kick my legs, but it’s not quite long enough to fit from underarm to underarm. Granted I was using it incorrectly, but it still could be a little longer.The material is very soft, and the colors are vibrant, just as advertised. However, the padded part could be a little bit longer for adults - I wish it went more around the body. It's easy to clean, lightweight, and holds me up well at 150 pounds.

Bought to take on a trip to Mexico. I use a larger float for deep water aerobics at home but too big to take on the plane. This one worked way better than I expected. Used it to do pool exercises and was able to pack up and bring home again. Inflating it a little less than fully worked best for me. Not perfect but great for this purpose.

Easily inflated and compact for travel. Used it for snorkeling and it worked great. Unfortunately, just like the other low reviews, the strap broke on the 2nd use. Thankfully, I was already getting out of the water as it happened. Product would have been perfect if the seams were reinforced.

They would not hold air and deflated within an hour. Nicely made and soft. I wish they worked.

It works well and feels better than most swim belts but it definitely twists easy unless you want to make it uncomfortably tight.
