Excellent little clock radio
This is a very neat & compact clock radio & has a very good sound. It's good quality & good value for money. It is easy to operate once you follow instructions & get to know the functions of each button. Display is orange coloured & does not affect my sleep. I am a fan of Roberts radios & would recommend.

Very good radio alarm - the time has 2 levels of brightness which is good for the light sleeper

Good product - excellent price
I needed a new clock radio, after my old one - a fancy internet job - became unreliable. I'd used an internet radio because reception, both on FM and DBS is poor where I live. But I wasn't looking forward to the cost of replacing it. Would I take a risk with another FM radio?Roberts is about as good a name as there is in radios, and this was at a very attractive price. It is basic - dial tuning and volume. But it has all that I need - dual alarm, good sized numerals, excellent auto dimming. The reception is not bad, though it took a little work to find the optimum position for the aerial. Sound quality is OK, especially for speech, but not up to internet levels, but I don't know if this is more to do with the reception or the radio itself. So, a good basic clock radio. Probably not suitable if you frequently change stations.

British quality
Probably the best analogue LED clock radio about (and I’ve tried a few). Sound not amazing by normal radio standards but perfectly adequate for intended use, clear with excellent tuning and reception (provided you extend the antenna wire). Headphone and sleep timer good additions as is day/ week/weekend dual alarm option.Auto dimming is a clever feature and works well and it’s simple to set and turn off the alarm. The yellow-amber display is quite pleasing. There are minor things that could’ve been improved, but ultimately it’s a great, solidly built traditional clock radio with all the required features from British users (12 hours, etc) from a trusted British brand.

Nice unit
Plug and play, no fiddling setting up the time, looks neat on the dressing table. As I write this I noticed the display changing brightness? Could be the daylight availability in the room I’ll keep checking and see how it looks.

Good quality
Worth paying a bit extra for this against the cheaper options. Much better quality, good value, easy to set up. Lots of buttons on the top, but simple to operate. Would recommend.

The only mains powered auto time-set I could find.
I was amazed when I searched for an alarm that automatically set the time and updated it for daylight savings. I found only one, this Roberts. Every other auto set I found was battery powered. One of the best features of this unit is the dimmable display, for me it's near perfect. The light automatically adjusts to falling light levels so it's easily bright enough to be read in strong daylight and also in darkness. At night the display is perfectly legible, but does not "glow" enough to be a problem with sleeping. The alarm settings are very versatile and can be set for day of the week, working days, or weekends only. The only criticism I have is that the alarm "off" button is hard to find, it's third from the right in a row of ten identical buttons, it defintely doesn't stand out in the dark when you're sleepily fumbling for it, but perhaps that's the idea. I would have preferred it to be a "long press" of the large, easily found snooze button.Apart from the above, it's a really well thought out unit with just about any alarm option you could wish for, which is just as well, because if you're looking for a mains powered auto time-set alarm... as far as i could see, it's the only game in town.
