What are chess pieces made of?

Not sure, but feels like harden ceramic of some type. It is good quality in general. This is the second set I’ve had. Only reason I bought the second one is I thought I had lost the first in a move. I later found my original. Great travel set too, compact and fairly light, but heavy enough Hope that helps.

I read a review that said the board is beveled so the pieces have a hard time staying on the board. Can you you tell me if this is true? Thank you

We have owned the board for almost 2 years and have not had a problem with the shape of the board. However, it is a small set and the pieces are beautiful but probably 1/3 to 1/4 of regular size...so in moving them we have had some accidents with knocking pieces over or off the board. Having said this we would purchase this set again. We leave it out on a small table in our living room and run continuous games - perfect size for our use!

What are sizes of chess pieces?

They range from 7/8ths of an inch (Pawns) up to 1.75" for the Kings. All the other pieces fall in between those two measurements. They are rather small, but very detailed.

where is the set made?

The sticker on the bottom says, "Made in England."
