VFM Spring steel knife
This knife is sharp out of the box , and retains the edge well. The size is fine , big and heavy enough to cut well , but not intimidatingly big. Was a little disappointed to see second bevel places. But is very sharp nevertheless. It does have to be washed , and wiped dry meticulously after every use , since it's not a Stainless Steel. Have been using it to cut veggies. Slices through soft ones like tomatoes , and a little hard ones like carrot very well. Pinch grip does bite a little bit , when using for more around 10 minutes , cutting hard vegetables. The brass bit could have been rounded off a bit. But the wood handle is good. It doesn't slip when wet , and is comfortable to hold. The knife has a good balance to it ( at the brass bit near the handle). Overall a very good knife. 4.5 stars ( -.5 for the biting part in pinch grip).

Must for the kitchen
It’s incredibly sharp. As of now my maid is super happy. She chops stuff in no time. The blade is big though, not exactly a typical paring knife. I think it can be effective on meat as well. Be super careful of the sharp edge, one for dextrous hands only. The Handle is clean and sturdy.
