Solid Ram Rod
Ram rod is solid core with a threaded ferule inserted in one end only. Jag (as shown) does not come with the rod and must be purchased separately. Cut the rod to length and trim the cut end to prevent edge splits. Rod seems strong. If used for cleaning, the surface is slippery and you may need pliers to get it started back out of bore. I am satisfied that it loads my 50 cal as well as can be expected. If I had it to do over again, I would select a rod that could have a second threaded ferule epoxyed in the cut end.

Don’t waste your time unless you want a speed loader
Item on the left if the first one that showed up. It has the correct packaging but the wrong item. Did a return and stated the packaging was correct the product was wrong. So they sent the one on the right today. Now tell me exactly how the items I have pictured match the description of the item they are selling.

Very sturdy flash hole pick
This is a great flash hole pick for a flint lock or cap lock rifle. I am happy. This is better than the kind that screws into the cap. I lost a pick once when the pick came unscrewed from the cap and fell in the field.

Didn't get what's pictured.
The product I got is not at all what is pictured. What I got is just a preloader without any marks or anything to measure powder with which is why I wanted it. Also the top keeps popping open by itself so unfortunately I can't even use it as a preloader either.

It's a nipple pick!
Product is just what I needed when a nipple pick wasn't included in my purchase of the Blackpowder Products Deluxe Cleaning Set that show one in the product photo. This nipple pick seems to be of decent quality but I cannot comment on its longevity as I just got it and haven't used it much yet. Quick delivery on this item which hasn't been the case with some recent purchases from Amazon.

nipple pick
They list this pick for sidelocks and in lines where its harder to get at the nipples to clear them. On a whim I grabbed one for my black powder revolvers, the angled profile is superior to get to the nipples to clean them, good stiff wire too. If you shoot Bp revolver and don't have a nipple pick yet, get this one.
