St. Dalfour Organic French Tea - Earl Grey - 25 ct

This tea is unique - I am a lover of all things Earl Grey, but my “favorite” was no longer really doing much for me anymore. I looked at lots of reviews, tried to find a new Earl Grey that would be my go-to. I decided on this Earl Grey and one by Tazo. This tea is quite light, but has an amazing, unique taste to it. The aftertaste is almost peppery, which enhances the flavor to a degree I didn’t think would work. You should just steep it for 2 minutes to get the lightness plus the right amount of flavor. I will be buying this again, I’m sure, as my new go-to! Tazo is also amazing, but these two are so different, they’ve both become my go-to Earl Greys!

I have tried numerous Earl Grey teas and this is a standout. With most or many Earl Grey teas if they are steeped for more than 3 minutes or so or if you forget to remove the bag in that time the tea tastes harsh and tannic. However St. Dalfour retains its flavor indefinitely presumably because of their blending expertise. I had never heard of St. Dalfour earlier and its remarkable that a French company produces such a fine tea !

I first had this tea in a small restaurant in Ashland, OR and I marveled at the flavor. When I came home to AZ I checked all the stores and couldn't find it. Thank goodness for the internet. I like my tea iced and so I brew for four minutes and then pour the hot tea over ice. The box says to brew for only one minute (I haven't tried that yet) the previous tea I was using said to brew for eight minutes but it was often bitter. Also this tea is organic which is so important for tea. Tea leaves can't be washed after picking so it's great to know that these were grown naturally.

This tea tastes more like a Breakfast tea. Not the Earl Grey flavor I am used to. I prefer Newman’s Own Earl Grey tea. I wanted to at least try this and give it a shot. I will finish it because it just tastes like ordinary tea to me and when it’s organic, I will gladly finish it. I just didn’t taste the Bergamot at all.

I had just finished my first box of Earl Grey organic (St Dalfour) and had to go on-line to find it again. Love it. It fits in beautifully with my regular Earl Grey in my tea regimen of 4-5 cup a day. It has a very pleasant aroma and taste with just a hint of licorice. As I said, Love it.

This is really a good brand of Earl Grey, and I've had rather a few of them. Not too strong, and with a pleasant hint of the Mediterranean in every cup. Would order this again.

St Dalfour earl grey is like no other earl grey tea. A unique taste that is my favorite of my favorite tea. I am sad that it is now so hard to get...I am “jonesing” for it. Amazon you are my best chance of getting.

To me, this is absolutely the best Earl Grey tea in the world!
