It's a good filter

Everyone like this filter water, work well

This is my second review regarding APEX water filters. After five months of everyday use I have just replaced this filter. It was still working fine but I thought it just didn't make sense that it could last this long so I changed it anyway. Every other carbon block filter I have used in the past only lasted a couple of weeks or one month at most. Honestly these are the best filters. I rarely write reviews on anything but I'm so impressed with the quality and longevity of these water filters that I need to post a second 5 star review. I used to buy case lots of the Chinese filters. I believed carbon block is all the same but couldn't understand why the made in China wouldn't last. Made in the USA does make an absolutely huge difference in quality. These filters are fully worth the tiny extra price. They last months instead of weeks.

Perfect fit

The filter needs to be changed out after about 6~7 months of use. I think the max capacity is ?750 gallons? . We only use about 3 gallons a day. If you don't change the filter by the 7th month, the taste of the product water degrades. It produces water much faster than Brita and tastes better, too (Northern CA). It also produces less trash and is cheaper.The only downside is when changing the filter. You will need to put in some elbow grease, which might be a problem for the elderly.

I live in an old apartment building of a tiny rural town. And after a neighbor had her kitchen pipes replaced, she was warned to never drink the tap water because the pipes hadn't been upgraded since the building's construction in the late 80s. Other neighbors complained of aches and pains and when my neighbor described her experience with the plumber's warning, I immediately ordered faucet filters for my kitchen and a PUR water dispenser.Not wanting to take any chances with a physical disability I have, I chose to double filter my water. And I'm SO glad I did!I order this filter as a replacement I install every 6 months along with the filter for the water dispenser I keep in the fridge. It's a fantastic value for the price and I can easily have a few in stock for the faucet and the dispenser.

Excellent quality, but it better be for the price! About 3x the price of most carbon filters on Amazon, but it performs well. Most appreciated is that it is VERY dust free, unlike most cheaper units. I've had cheaper units send carbon fines down stream, fouling the RO membrane, flow restrictor, etc., causing more damage than the money they save. This filter saves time that would have been wasted on excessive rinsing and keeps my system clean. Until I find a better quality at a lower price I'll stick with this even though it's not cheap. If the price was under $10 I'd give it five stars.
