MicroCON MadCatz Dual Force 2 Controller

First of all, it's very important to note that there are at least two separate models of the wired "MicroCon" for the PS2. If you look at the pictures available on this page both of the two I'm familiar with are shown separately. The first one (the one shown in blue) wasn't as good for me and I use the second one (shown in black.) The only problem I ever had with it is that the analog sticks have hard plastic tops that are concave rather than the usual convex shape with rubber. I added a bit of hot glue to the tops and problem solved. (Also, another modification that I do to all controllers is to open them up and remove the motors. The force feedback really isn't all that great anyway, but this makes them considerably lighter and more comfortable to hold IMO.)The smaller size and shape makes this much more comfortable to those who have smaller hands. I find the buttons to be laid out just right and the rubber grips on the side definitely make it easier and more comfortable to actually hold. Even the top buttons seemed to be placed just right to me.In short, it's just right for hands that aren't huge (and by this I still mean some adults, not just children) but only buy one if you meet that criteria.

I purchased this controller a year ago and it worked, but it is also gentelly USED which was not clearly advertised. To the standards of the official PS2 controller, this "Gently used" microCon is sluggish and clumsy it only worked well during racing games or to give to a friend who YOU want to lose at video games. The buttons get stuck in and there is dirt in between the corners of the controller from odvious usage. This controller was nistolgic because as a child i owned 2 of the original madcatz microCon for ps2 and Xbox with my 1st ps2 and xbox systems.Poor Controller due to the fact that it is was "Gently used", but the one i owned for over 5 years works better then the used one brought on amazon.This controller only worked well upon taking it appart and washing the buttons and rubber with dish washing liquid and WD-40.

have to from time to time unplug the controller for a moment to get it to work properly again. mainly the r2 button. perfect size for my wife and my five year old but a little small for my hands.

I bought this controller as a second controller and was fairly satisfied with it. Then, after about a year, the left analog stick started getting stuck so that it was constantly turning. I never got the "Macro" thing to work at all, and it never would work with one of my games. Mostly I used my Dualshock2 controller and just used the Microcon for a second controller in 2 player games. Now, since it won't even work for that I'm going to buy a new Dualshock2 controller. And as for the smaller size, I never really cared about that since I'm used to the larger ones.

I have had this controller for almost three months, and it works perfectly. If standard controllers are too big this one is for you. Once I switched to this controller I was able to hit combos faster, aim better, and play with less fatigue.

The USPS had a problem getting it to me. The product showed up at my parents without a problem, but when they shipped it to me overseas, we...Apparently someone in the European Postal relays to get things to military bases decided that they needed one. Broke open a box containing the pad and another item, took the pad out it's box (which was unopened) and then retaped the whole thing and sent it off sans control pad.This isn't your fault in anyway but if there is any extra pressure you can put on the Postal Service to investigate these problems would be appreciated. It's been a real problem for the last 6 months for servicemembers overseas.Otherwise, I'll look forward to future transactions and will make sure I insure every package.

Die Aktions-knöpfe wind sehr weich und haben einen recht kurzen Druckpunkt. Dagegen ist das D-pad steif wie Beton, aber das registriert wenigstens alle Befehle. Analogsticks und Schulterknöpfe sind 1A.
