loved this read
I have read about 50+decluttering books, including all books by Marie Kondo. I have completely revamped my entire home over the years and can proudly say that I am officially 100% decluttered. Marie’s books were the ones that really made a HUGE difference. Right now I am listening to the Joy of Work by Marie Kondo and Scott Sonershein. This books is a game-changer as well. I’m going nuts on my phone photos, computer files and email like a champ. That all being said, I really enjoyed reading Dana’s book. I liked hearing how she went about this life overhaul and I loved that she showed pictures of the process. She is pretty funny too. Most decluttering books aren’t humorous but Dana L Jacobson and Dana K. White’s decluttering books make me chuckle an great deal of the time and you need to laugh when you are on this adventure. I also liked how she gave a few tips of her own for how she would have done it a little differently. It showed that although Marie Kondo’a books are life altering, not everything in every book is for everyone. Great job Dana!

Very Useful
It’s nice and comforting to read people who share same experiences, and, plus, you can get useful tips. Thanks the author.

For the likeminded
While it did not go into depth of the struggles with each step, like lingering over a beautiful blouse you tried to replace with an identical one in your size, can't, but are losing weight so maybe it will fit in the waist since there is not enough room in the seams to let it out; she did describe general struggles with each step. But they are particular to her, a generally messy, prone to procrastinate, highly determined person. That's me. So it was enjoyable with super take-aways for me, but maybe not everyone. The best part as her emphasis on what she would and would it do again. I recommend downloading a sample and see if the vibe is relatable for you.

Discussing KonMarie method for us all.
I found this book on the author using the KonMarie method of Tiding in her small condo very enlightening. 640 square feet is small for a house. Her reactions to the methods and figuring out what works for her were very interesting to me . Some were an A-Ha moment for me. I justdid the clothing portion for myself with Marie's book, and I still get a thrill of accomplishment looking in my underwear drawer( cheap thrills). I'm looking forward to using both ladies' tips as I head into book sorting next.

Such helpful advice on following the great Marie Kondo
When Marie Kondo's book took the world by a storm I (along with many others) jumped into the process of "kondoing" my life. I tried to be true to the book, but ended up making up my own rules as I went along. I learned many valuable lessons, but ultimately gave up because it was just too hard and too overwhelming. This book made me take a second look. Jacobson describes her own journey with Kondo's method and she did it the "right" way! She took the time to do the process as it was designed to be done and tells us about her failures and successes. She has a charming voice and it's a delight to read, but the real beauty of this book is that it's encouraging for a normal, run of the mill person.

Helps with Perspective
A year and a half ago, I did a “blitz” tidying up, where I followed the categories in order, determined if something sparked joy etc...but I only spent a day per category, so I feel like it was kind of an 85% successful follow. So now I’m going back through the real process more slowly this time, and it was nice to read about someone else’s experience.

"Have you read the Tidying Up book by Marie Kondo, but need a jump start?"
This book is the inspiration to get started. I read the Marie Kondo book with my book club but never tried putting her ideas into practice. Seemed too overwhelming. Reading Dana Jacobson's very relatable, personal account of her tidying journey provides not only some practical tips, but encouragement to keep going even when motivation may lag. Her warm, personal style is like a conversation with your best friend.

Amazingly helpful
This was a quick and helpful read. As someone who has considered doing this but is perpetually overwhelmed with the thought of the immenseness of the undertaking, I appreciate the authors humor and candidness about her experience. Sharing her challenges and suggestions makes me feel like I am better equipped to do this. Thanks so much for your transparency! I am inspired to tidy!!

Living with Marie Kondo
I read the Manga which is short and has all Kon maries points illustrated, and then this book with it. It’s her experience of following the principles of LCM IRL and very encouraging as she succeeded eventually.

A journey to sanity
Dana is overwhelmed, and now is in a mind to change up her feelings and surrounding clutter. Armed with the golden advice and inspirational maxims of Marie Kondo she gets to grips with her personal procrastination demons and makes her way to 'tidy'. A fun read which will make you want to try for the land of tidy too.
