Multi-Purpose Remote
Looking at the price, I wasn't expecting much from a remote like this. It turned out to be much better than I had thought.Feature-wise, this remote packs everything you would expect from a media center device. Navigation, pause, play, skip, and other buttons that make media playback easy. This remote works well with software like xbmc, media portal, and windows media center. This remote does go above and beyond most other media center remotes in that it has an input pad for characters. This makes searching on netflix, xbmc, or just the web much easier. It would be a shame to just stop at there, as this remote seems to be made not just for media center setups. It also contains a small mouse joystick w/ L and R click, backspace, escape, and other windows functions you just don't see in most mc remotes. It includes everything you need or might need to get to and play media in a quick and pain-free manner. With all that said, I would recommend this affordable remote to anyone who:- wants a good remote on the cheap, just to lay back and watch some videos- wants to set up an xbmc media center; not having to worry if the remote is sending the proper windows media commands- has a hybrid gaming/media rig. This remote makes it easy to transition from gaming to chillingWhat's bad?- The cord is kinda short- The button layout isn't the best and the buttons are kinda smallSome tips on using the remote- The remote has to be pointed in the general direction of the receiver in order to work- The numlock button on the remote switches between the alphabetic, capital alphabetic, and directional inputs- The top 4 programmable keys can be assigned by right clicking a shortcut, clicking in the shortcut key box, and hitting Ctrl + Alt + A (or B or C or D)

Worst PC Remote Ever
I have owned several previous model Sanoxy PC remotes, that model was great but can't be found for purchase anymore. This model remote is terrible. The mouse barely works and the motion of the pointer stutters as you move it. The cord wind up thing performs terribly as well, i had it twisted up in knots in no time at all. In addition it uses non standard batteries, I'm sure you could find a battery replacement but you're most likely not going to have one laying around like you would with AAA/AA batteries. Look elsewhere for a remote, this ones a total looser. Another downside, Amazon is telling me I can't return this item because it contains flammable gasses, WTF Amazon! I contacted seller and they said I could return it and to just send it to them, no return number, no return label, just an address. Very poor experience with this purchase.

excellent little remote for an excellent price.
okay for the price this little this is awesome. i have it set up right now on my laptop. saving money until i can get everything i need to build my htpc, but for now my laptop will have to due.the ir receiver looks cheap and is in dark blue casing and everything on my entertainment center is black. but you can really tell unless you LOOK at it. it looks cheep but i have had it for 2 weeks now. two weeks before the actual arrival date. the cord is as mentioned about 2ft long. it is a little short. i have tried two extender to make it 6.5 feet - will a lot of extra slack. but after about 5 hours of use the button switched. i think its my USB extenders becasue once i hooked up directly to my laptop i had no problems.but honestly i bought this remote for a couple of buttons. play, pause, rewind, fast forward, next, previous and the directional arrow. for use with a ir learning remote to use on xbmc. and the ir receiver. and it work flawlessly. i used the URC WR7 Universal Remote Control and saved it as the cd button. i mainly people said it feels clicky which mine doesn't and i could care less cause i use a ir learning remote.the mouse feature is pretty cool. take some time to learn. it starts slow then speeds up. if you every used you num keys as a mouse then you know the feeling. but i have a Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 with Built-In Multi-Touch Touchpad (920-003070) close by in case i need to really use a keyboard and mouse.i dont yet know how to use the keyboard function on the remote. its like the old phone were 2 is abc and 3 is def and so on. but there inst a guide to go with it. but im happy whit my set up.so if your looking for a cheap but lasting ir receiver and a few controls so you can use a ir learning remote then get this. if you want a separate remote then do not get this. t

Great remote for a very cheap price
Yes it has it's issues but I love it.Problems:- Sometimes when pressing the button it won't register.- Sometimes the button will register twiceWhy I like it:- It's a really good price. Other wireless remotes cost $25+- The battery has lasted almost a year.- I use it from a range of 12-15 feet and it works. It's really been a great for me and I recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive remote that works.P.S I use it with a Raspberry Pi, and it works great

Works great on my raspberry pi
Arrived significantly ahead of schedule and despite the bargain basement price, works great. The range is fantastic, line of sight between the remote and sensor is very forgiving, and it even works as a keyboard in a pinch (as long as you're okay using T9 style input). I was worried about the size of the buttons, but in actuality they're fine, with a satisfying feel to them, no sponginess to them. This is just the accessory I needed for my living room, raspberry pi powered media center.

Buttons dont work
Sadly this didnt work as expected. I have to press the button many times in order to work, and when it does work it sends the button that I pressed double times ( if I press it once, and wait, press once and wait, and so on, eventually it works but is like if I had pressed twice ). I wasnt expecting much about this remote, but at least to be functional.
