Finding a dimmer that actually works well with modern LED fixtures can be a challenge — especially when the lights aren’t standard bulbs but stylish tube designs. This one, however, performs flawlessly. No flicker, no buzzing, and the dimming is incredibly smooth — from full brightness right down to off. One thing to note: if your wall box is a standard square pattress, you’ll likely need a 10mm spacer to give the dimmer enough depth to fit comfortably. In my case, there was quite a bit of wiring behind the switch, so the extra space made installation much easier. I’ve now installed three of these (one dual-gang and two singles), and all work perfectly. Excellent quality, reliable performance, and great value. Highly recommended.

This dimmer smith is quite good quality plastic and comes in brilliant white. The instruction manual guides you to fitting the switch yourself but as most do, it recommends an approved electrician or someone with electrical knowledge to oversee the installation. The kit comes with short screws and my only 'gripe' would be that you may need deeper screws depending on the backing box. The light comes with press in covers for the screws, which is a nice cosmetic touch. The switch has a 'memory' ( which I have never encountered before), which allows you to set the level of the lowest light setting, so as the light quality can be appropriate! If you follow the instruction leaflet, it is just 8 simple click s ( on /off) to set the process. When switched on, the light comes on immediately. The dial knob is solid and well attached to the body of the switch. The light switch does not 'hum' like some I have at home. There is no earth cable required in wiring as the product is all plastic. More than happy to recommend this product for cost, easy installation and operation.

Works well with multiple LED bulbs, no flickering and can be set from dimmed at a preset minimum up to the maximum brightness. On the downside the instructions are confusing. To save time it would have been helpful if the default settings stated at the beginning that the default setting is Trailing Edge which is the preferred setting for LED bulbs. Also, I found the factory reset was unnecessary on first installation so the confusing reference to CONFIGURATION could be skipped. Do not over tighten the centre nut, it causes the on off switch to distort causing it to stick when switching it on or off. Just over finger tight is enough. Overall, it is a good device and a pleasing purchase.

Very reasonable price, good quality and works well. Direct replacement for a dual dimmer that failed. Easy to install and no irritating 'buzz' that some dimmers still do, even after all these years. And somehow, the lights that it controls seem brighter on full power than the old one. On my kitchen lights, turn it down far enough and they will all go off using the dimmer not the switch. And if you judge it right, you can get just one of the eight to come on before they all kick in. Very happy with it!

The dimmer, functionality wise, is perfect. Easy to install and only took a couple of minutes to configure for the minimum dimness setting. Power on delay is barely a second and there is no buzzing or any kind of noise when dimming, and the bulbs don't flicker at all either. It does its job perfectly. Five stars for performance. The reason I docked a star off is that my particular sample had a small discoloured mark on the front shell in a visible area, which detracts from the overall appearance, which is a shame. EDIT: Docked a further star later on after finding more 'unfinished' parts of the shell. The switch itself has an edge that looks fairly rough compared to the rest of it, and sometimes when spinning the dial it feels a bit loose (usually accompanied by a slight mechanical noise when that happens). Again, unsure if I've got a dud or not. I wouldn't trouble Amazon over it but I'd be interested if the seller would agree on whether it sounds normal or not.

It can be surprisingly difficult to buy dimmers that work with LED lighting. None of my new ceiling lights are bulbs but fancy curved or straight tubes, illuminated along their entire length. This dimmer works beautiful. There is no flickering, ever. No buzzing either from the switch. The tubes can be dimmed progressively and smoothly to extinction and back up to full power. HOWEVER, if you have a standard square pattress in the wall beneath your existing switch you'll almost certainly need a 10mm 'spacer' to add enough depth. I found the original electrician had fitted lots of folded wiring and insulated connectors into the backspace and the dimmer electronic's bulge wouldn't fit. I ordered five spacers from Amazon so all of the adjacent switches matched! I've ordered three, altogether: one dual-gang and two singles. Very happy. Recommended.
