Where do you guys actually put these things? The only time I see silverfish in my home, they are usually on the wall and it doesn't seem like there is a practical place nearby to put these.

I place them above the shower head. And some under shelves and anywhere there there is a silver fish seen. I had them all around my house. The kitchen you have to be careful not to put one by food. Its good to put under drawers that have non food items. Under the fridg. and stove. Always remember to put some in the attic and sub basement. Where ever there is moister put one. I use them everywhere. My friend had some come out of her light switch. She didn't have it covered so that is how she found them. She stuck one up above with tape and they were gone in a week or so. I hate silverfish that is why I use these packets. I have been for several years. They really work.

How often do I need to replace packs for maintenance?

I bought mine about 6 months ago and am just now noticing Silverfish popping up again. I got the pack of 2, for my small 1-bedroom apartment (600 sq ft). They worked EXTREMELY well to get rid of silverfish. From the time I placed them in my apartment, it seemed to instantly get rid of them! Now they need to be replaced so I am back to repurchase.

is this a bundle of two boxes, each with 24 packets, foe a total of 48 packets?

Each box has 24 paks, so if they say 2 then it must be 48 paks total. BTW, the paks are 0.001 oz each, and the total net weight is 0.024 oz for all 24 paks, therefore if the net weight is 0.048 oz then you are sure that you are getting 48 paks
