Fits perfectly in the fan area of my HP ENVY DV6-7214nr. Besides needing to take the laptop apart, everything worked really well. The fan fit perfectly without modifications and the plug fits in the same space as the stock fan plug with no issues. It runs fine and works just as expected. Been using it for about 3 weeks with no issues, no noises, smells or malfunctions

The hardest part was actually taking the laptop completely apart just to get to the fan. I didn't want to have to take it apart twice and was concerned that the fan was so cheap. But low and behold it fit perfectly and so far works like it's supposed to. HP Envy DV6 series is what I installed it into.

After 2 days the fan got broken , the product quality is really bad please see the attached photo

My 12 year old HP laptop cooling fan was making a very loud noise and kept doing a thermal shutdown every 15-20 minutes making the laptop essentially useless. You have to make sure you get the correct cooling fan as there are a lot out there. Installation was tricky as you had to take the laptop totally apart (keyboard out, motherboard totally disconnected and out). It took about 2 hrs to complete, everything worked perfectly after it was back together. There are many good YouTube videos that made this possible. I have never done something this massive to a laptop before. You don't need a lot of skills other than being good with a small screw driver and very good at following the many directions on the videos.

Fit my device perfectly. If any future buyer is planning on getting this fan for their laptop and plan on replacing it themselves, prepare for some annoyance. The laptop makers don't make it easy for you to get to the fan. Recommend getting a pair of long tweezers to help with the fiddly plugs.

My laptop was making noise. I found some tutorials on YouTube and ordered a replacement fan. The tutorial has detailed video showing me how to get to the fan. My challenge is to keep track of the screws and where they were taken from. The reward is having the computer back after the effort.
