Mic works GREAT with Acoustic Archtop guitars!
Bought this mic on a recommendation from a great Swing guitarist to mic my acoustic Archtop guitar. I play professionally, and have struggled for years trying to get a true acoustic archtop tone for Swing rhythm, without being stuck behind a stand-mounted condenser mic. This mic is EXACTLY what I've need all these years!! It DOES require phantom power, but almost all sound systems have onboard phantom power these days. It clips to my pickguard and stays just outside the lower F-hole, and sounds GREAT!!! That still leaves my floating magnetic free for solos thru my amp! The icing on the cake is-I got a wireless system for the magnetic pickup, and then found another wireless for XLR that HAS BUILT-IN PHANTOM POWER, leaving me free to move around without any cords!

Outstanding
This is a truly outstanding mic. Not only for its cost but its size. I gig often playing both Alto and Tenor saxophone and this mic was the best microphone investment I have ever made. The sound quality is crystal clear and once you find the sweet spot for your instrument it picks up all ranges and all volumes fantastically. I highly recommend this mic. Ok, so there is just one very minor thing.. There is a module type thing at the end of the mic cable that will drag on the floor if you don't do anything prevent this. Personally I just loop it in my belt to keep it off the ground and it doesn't bother me, but it may annoy others. Also, be warned, this mic requires phantom power.

Excellent build quality, design, and sound.
Exceptional design and build quality from the spring clip, goose neck, cable clips to the wind-screen / shock-mount and, of course the mic capsule itself. Oh, also the XLR mini to XLR standard adapter with switchable low rolloff. Sounds wonderful clipped to my lapel and aimed at my calimba (thumb piano). Provides really usable rich-toned pickup across a wide selection of input levels, from deep resonant tones to the high-pitched scratching of my rough fingers sliding off the metal keys or the snap of my fingernail coming off. Since it's promoted as a good high SPL pickup, I'm looking forward to clipping to congas and getting focused pickup of each drum for better tones and ability to mix my own soundstage or use one rhythm part for backing in other songs, later on down the road. I was weighing these vs. the AKG C411's for instrument pickups, and chose these for being more versatile, and this kit includes the mini-XLR adapter so I'll have that in my kit to work for future mic purchases.

Great sound, durable with proper care. Can't beat it for the price.
As a professional trumpet player that plays live 2-3 times a week, I have yet to find a better clip-on. For the price, the sound is terrific. The low-end roll-off switch is very helpful to avoid broadcasting to the audience every bump, knock and water-key emptying. When we record live performances, I'm always pleasantly surprised at how legit I sound through this mic. If you didn't know better, you'd think I knew how to play, ha ha. I've taken my PRO-35 on cross country tours, and it survived easily, despite just being stuffed in my gig bag and thrown in the back of the tour van. It's a life-saver when you're a horn player in a rock band. Most of the small venues we played were designed for 2-3 people on stage, and a clip-on mic meant no mic stand, which went a long way toward reducing my footprint. Just make sure the sound guy knows to give you phantom power. 6 months after that tour, it did stop working, but the warrantee covered the repair. (Honestly, the sound guy at that show was pretty under the influence, so I'm not even 100% sure it was broken. Long story...) I found that an Amazon Basics small electronics travel case fits the mic bag perfectly, and is slim enough to fit in my gig bag's front pocket. So, convenient and extremely well protected. One thing that was a little annoying at first was the XLR input. It's pretty heavy, and there's no indication of where you're supposed to put the thing while you play. My first show with the mic, I just stuffed the input in my pocket, which didn't work as well as I wanted. So, I bought a small pipe clamp and a little gas station keychain carabiner with a nylon strap (originally had cheap compass on it) . Then I fed the nylon strap through the pipe clamp and clamped it to the XLR input's casing. Now I can just clip it to my belt when I play, and it looks like it was designed that way. If you're a horn player tired of being shackled to the mic stand, but can't afford the hassle and cost of a wireless system, buy this. It does the job.

Excellent sounding condensed microphone fort my violin
Amazing sound. Clamps perfectly in my violin's chin rest. There's no need for an actual clamp on the violin.

According micing
I use this to mic my accordion on the bass side. I put on a small velcro strap and hang this down. It picks up the whole register and you can't hear any key rattle. It really is a perfect mic. I've loved it so much that I bought another one to put on the piano side, since now I just use a standard house vocal mic over there, so soon I won't have to worry about that. I've used it on the piano side before, using velcro again and placing it in the middle, and it works great picking up the whole range. Don't be fooled by the little adapter though, that's not a power supply. You need phantom power for this mic, but just about 98 percent of mixing boards at any bar or club you can play it will have one, so not a big deal.

Perfecto para instrumentos de viento calidad / precio
Perfecto, buena compra.
