Tibos Chromed Tibos Electric Crepe Maker

Makes remarkable crepes right out of the box. If you are like me and love crepes from your local crepe restaurant, you have to have this product. It was easy to use and our first crepes came out perfect. Much easier than using crepe pans and you can make restaurant quality crepes quickly and easily.The tools that come with are OK but usable and other options are readily available if they are not up to your standards. We find they work fine and after several months have not replaced them yet. This is a really high quality product - does not feel 'cheap' at all - and the temperature settings are very consistent and there is even heat over the entire surface. We have made crepes dozens and dozens of times and both family and guests are impressed with the quality (and we are NOT chefs by any stretch of the imagination). Excellent product that you will enjoy.

Thermostat did not work. When I turned it on the temperature went to about 450F and could not be adjusted. The seller told me “The Tibos do actually work well for home use however they have thermostat problems occasionally, you just happen to get one of the not so great units.” A not so great unit!!! Perhaps Amazon should include this in the product description. What they do say is “Exceptional Quality Made To Last!!” -- not a very accurate description, in my opinion.

From what my daughter told me it is difficult to use. It is a great grill, however.

Works well as long as you don't use the plastic rotating piece that is supposed to "make crepes a snap." Other reviews have noted the 2 oz ladle isn't big enough to make a crepe--very true. But the unit heats evenly, is non-stick, and, once you get the technique down, makes great crepes.

I got this for my husband for Father's Day because he loves to go to creperies. I considered getting a professional strength one, but they are so darn expensive. I am so glad I didn't! This one works so well! We have made probably a hundred crepes in the short time we have had it. It is super simple to use, and we have done such a variety of crepes from philly cheesesteak crepes to banana and Nutella crepes. The only thing I would change is that it would come with a round wooden spinning tool instead of a flat one.

We have used this of course to make crepes (takes some getting used to using the wooden tools- but keep at it. Our first few crepes looked more like Swiss cheese, we've gotten way better at it now!) We also use it to make French toast, pancakes and gas house eggs. Next up we are going to try making tortillas. The recipe book that comes with it has lots of great ideas. We like it a lot because it is easy to use and doesn't take a lot of oil which makes things a lot healthier.

I read many reviews of crepe makers before choosing this one. Although there were a couple of negative reviews for this model, we couldn't be more satisfied that we chose this model. Simple to use and makes terrific crepes over and over again. Highly recommend!

It is really nice and the equipments that came with it made it easier to spread the batter evenly.
