I used these gosund dimmable smart switches, to replace the simple on/off light switches that controlled the ceiling fans in my house. Now, instead of having to adjust the fan speed, with the pull chain on the ceiling fan, I can use the goSund app or my Alexa echo devices to control my fans at speeds between zero and 100%.The switches themselves, are comparable to a Decora switch, which is slightly wider and deeper than a normal or typical light switch. ran into some challenges when attempting to install in an older shallow metal outlet box. Because of the extra space required by this switch, I needed to install a spark arrester plastic shield in the existing outlet, which allows the switch to be away from the wall. Then had to build a frame around the plastic shield for a finished appearance. My wife loves the new control we have over the fans.Also used the non-dimmable switches for some of our lights.Wife loves it so much, she wants me to do the whole house.

We have recently moved and after converting my previous home to smart switches I wanted to convert our new home into an Alexa voice controlled smart home. I had previously purchased GoSund Wifi Smart light switches in both 3 way and on/off light switches. The installation from unboxing to configure the app was under 15 minutes, most of that time was removing and labeling the wires from the previous switch installed in 1989 from when the home was built. This installation was easy enough for a non-electrician like myself. This switch has a cool leds that light up as you run your finger up and down the switch. The included wiring nuts, wire labels and switch cover plate just snaps on and then it is time for the app configuration. After install was complete I followed the instructions to setup the switch to my phone; this was all very simple. While the built-in timer feature use isn't required, I think it's great because it makes it so I don't have to worry about turning the lights on or off. I chose to use the SmartLife app instead of GoSund since I have other smart devices already listed on my SmartLife account.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the GoSund products. Install, set-up, and use are all extremely simple, and price was very reasonable (not much more than a high-quality dimmer switch you would get at your nationwide electronics store.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have many Gosund products: Switches, Plugs, etc... These switches are PERFECT for my house. They work with Google Home, Hub, Alexa, Google Assistant, and more! And even can be added to my iPhone's home screen for quick access. These switches are perfect for my newest addition of LED lights. I can dim them or turn them off! Set up was not bad for me since I have done plenty of construction/Electrical work. Just follow instructions. Also, there are plenty of videos on youtube. You do have to ensure you have Load, Hot, Neutral, and ground though. If you don't - this device may not be compatible. In one of my rooms i had to run new wiring to allow for neutral and load. Also, if you are planning to install this for FAN control - this may not work. I guess, there are some FANs that this works with but, i have 5 fans in the house, this did not work. But, I am happy that it works with all my LED lights :). Overall - loving the product.

An EXCELLENT Smart device product. Having professionally installed dozens of this GOSUND Smart dimmer switch I highly recommend this item due to it's construction. It is well made when compared to other brands. Heavier plastics, heavier gauge wiring, easy to install and understand instructions and easy to program. I suggest using GOSUNDS app to start the wifi addressing then integrating the programmed device info to Alexa and/or Google Home.The dimming range is incredible. Make sure to use a good quality bulb with a good dimming range so you don't blame the switch on the bulbs inability to dim low. The switch also has a very modern appearance which my customers like.

These inexpensive dimmers are awesome. Once you have the Gosund app installed and linked to Alexa, it’s pretty easy.There are a couple of things worth mentioning so you are not disappointed. I first tried to control a chandelier that consists of 9 mini led bulbs and the dimmer did not work in this application. A conventional dimmer was having weird issues with this lamp so it’s probably more attributable to the led bulbs than anything else.In my kitchen, I have 4 led bulbs in recessed can lights. The dimmer DOES work on these but the lower limit is about 30% of full brightness. It works for me.In the bedroom there are small led can reading lights over the bed. There is a single switch assigned to a single light and there is full range of dimmingYou MUST have a 2.4ghz wireless for these to connect to your wireless network. I noticed that my phone will disconnect from the wireless network during discovery which kind of freaked me out the first time or two. Just trust the app and it will work out. In fact, if you are linked to Alexa, Alexa is the first to notify you there is a new device on network!If you are going to use with Alexa, install the Alexa app on your phone. Once it’s installed, you can set up custom commands to have Alexa turn on your lights. Or you can have things happen based on a timer, and you can combine these Gosund dimmers to trigger off your Ring doorbell motion detector, your smart home alarm’s motion detector, etc.eYou can group devices in both the Gosund app and within Alexa (using routines). You can dim the lights through alexas, by using the wall switch and also through the Gosund app.Recommend these to anyone wanting to get into home automation
