Finally!!
I don't often write reviews, but I thought I should for is, as it's new and only has a few. I have been trying many different mineral-based sunblocks for myself and my family, as we'd like to avoid toxic chemicals when/if possible. We had a few that we liked, but they were always rinsing off upon entering water, or were too greasy, never rubbing in, made us look like ghosts, had a funny smell, just plain old didn't work, or something that made me continue searching.I saw this product, rated 3 on the EWG website, and was intrigued that it had a 50+ SPF rating, so I bought one. This is BY FAR my favorite. It goes on really easily, rubs in quickly, doesn't leave a greasy or white film, stays on for a very long time in the pool (water just beads up on our skin), has no smell, is very reasonably priced, and best of all, IT WORKS!!! I put it on myself, my husband, and all of our kids (even on our faces), and swam in the pool for over 2 hours straight, in the middle of a sunny day, and NO ONE burned. My search for a non-chemical sunblock is over. I really hope Banana Boat continues to make this product, and becomes more widely available. I love, love, love it!

We're going beaching.
Worked pretty well for my kids and husband. I don't like all the junk that they put in sun screens so I researched and this was the one that I decided on based on reviews and the pricing. We went to the beach one weekend and slathered it on and the following week to the zoo. Now it is being used during soccer games. The tube lasts quite a long time so good value for the price. I will buy this again when I need more.

Great product; no white residue but works very well
I have been using this sunscreen regularly for about a year now and am very happy with it. I wanted to switch to a zinc oxide-based sunscreen after hearing about harmful chemicals in others but other natural sunscreens I have tried (including Neutrogena) have left a white residue no matter how well I blend them in or how long before leaving my house I put them on. This one does initially go on whiter and thicker than the traditional chemical sunscreens but quickly fades and there is no noticeable whiteness leftover after you blend it in. In addition, I believe it to be very effective. I have never burned while wearing it (except on areas of my body I've missed applying sunscreen to) and I wore it for 10 days in the Greek Islands in August and did not get so much as a tan (and I am very fair-skinned). I will definitely continue buying and using it.

Excellent sunscreen, excellent price!
I use this product on my face, ears, and neck, since I have a history of melanoma. It's a bit too heavy to use on my arms, legs, etc., but it has zinc oxide, which protects my face. For the rest of my body, I use Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch lotion sunscreen, with broad spectrum SPF 30. The Banana Boat product is fairly inexpensive, which makes it even more attractive. The only downside is that, if I don't spread it out real well on my skin, then a bit of a white film is visible on my nose or neck, for example. But if I take the time to spread it out, that's no problem.

best mineral sunscreen ever!
I am outdoors for long periods of time cycling, which usually causes a bad case of biker's tan and sunburns. This sunscreen uses only mineral active ingredients, not chemicals. Usually that means you look like a zombie because it turns your skin a blueish-white. Although this goes on white, when you massage it into your skin it becomes clear again. Better yet, I don't tan that easily with the 50 spf formula. I can wear this on the bike or going out for in dress clothes, it is that invisible and effective! I threw away all my other sunblocks and only use this now!

Sunscreen is very much caveat emptor. Check EWG webpage before buying any on Amazon
Boy is buying sunscreen a challenge. The main source for information on sunscreens is the Environmental Work Group or EWG. I wish Amazon would take the lead and link to their webpage or at least provide their overall ranking. For the EWG the lower number is better. I don't want to risk anything other than a 1. This ranks a 3. I didn't do my due diligence when I ordered this, but I am. Don't let titles of sunscreen products fool you.It has unbalanced UVA and UVB protection. And good but not great ingredients. I get the desire to balance cost and safety. So let me give you 2 that rank a 1. The first is burnout kids. It is pricey. But it goes on so well and is great when active. Best sunscreen for playing tennis on my face ever. BurnOut SPF 30+ KIDS The other one that I have yet to try but is even more cost effective is from Seventh Generation. I have liked their other products and I am excited to give it a try. I have it on order. Seventh Generation Baby Sunscreen SPF 30, 3 Ounce When ordering sunscreen I have 2 browser window tabs open. One on Amazon, one on the EWG webpage. Copy the product title over to the EWG and see the results. I don't think 3 is worse than average, but there are better.

Terrible
I wish i would have done more reviewing before i bought this product. I started using it on my 2 year old son and noticed after a few uses that he would only turn red where i would apply to product, no where else. The longer it was on the more red he would become. I then put the product on myself and it burns! Neither I nor my son have any allergies or sensitivities and after visiting their facebook page i see we aren't the only ones this is happening to. Please do some research before purchasing. I have tossed out my bottle and will not be purchasing anymore banana boat products.

Good Physical Sunblock
I like this product. It does what it says. The tube is pretty small for the price, but I think it is comparable to any other sunblock out there. I was really looking for a physical sunblock for my daughter who has eczema and her skin is easily irritated. Like any physical sunblock it does leave a whitish cast, but thats a small price to pay, really, and my daughter doesn't care anyway. She wore it out all day and though we did reapply she never burnt.

Great product
This is a great product and I did not burn once and did not feel the need to be constantly applying it.
