The pieces in the kits are interchangeable?

We are stuck on the cat. Is there a step by step video to build these robots? The directions don’t make sense and I’m an adult!

Do these move on theirmi u own? Or does the kid push it?

In the box it includes a motor box, if you add batteries & assembled per instructions it will move on its own. Don't put it in water.

Are the batteries and motor supposed to get really hot when using for short periods of time? We took out the batteries but they were too hot to touch.
