Works as advertised
Have used it several times and while yes it will move around some when using it but will most anything else that is used to sight in a weapon. Put sand weights on it and the movement is minimal but without some movent the pressure from the shot would be focused entirely to the weapon that causes excess stress than could damage a weapon. With the stock inserted there is a little movement but it has to be a one size fits all so put a little packing around it and it works. Personally I think it's works great for sighting in weapons.

Give your shoulder a break and sight in your rifle quick and easy
Great product. However, I really want to caution people to not put too much weight on the sled and most certainly NOT to clamp the sled down to a heavy bench or table to prevent it from moving backwards under recoil. All that recoil energy has to go somewhere. Normally it goes into your shoulder. If the sled can’t move or barely moves under recoil, the energy gets dumped into the gun stock, scope, scope mount, and rings. You can crack the stock at the wrist, or even break it entirely and wreck your scope and scope accessories. I’ve done some further reading about the appropriate amount of weight to use. Many recommend no more than 1.5x the weight of the rifle. So, an 8 lb rifle should have no more than 12 pounds of sled/ballast holding it back. If your sled weighs 10 pounds, an additional 2 lb of ballast is all that is needed for an 8lb rifle.

More Compact…
Easy to throw in the bed of the truck or in backseat floor and simple to set up on shooting bench. While there is limited adjustment with this sled, it’s a good option when not wanting to spend more time on heftier sleds. Basically, it’s simplicity allows you to shoot accurately quickly while achieving easy portability.

Works really well!
I doubt many are using this for their air rifle but it works great for those also. I have the Gamo Arrow .22cal PCP with a really nice scope. I use this rifle for back yard pesting and some resettable target practice. It's ultra quiet yet powerful. 2 things that I need to work on or modify on the stand to make it a little more solid for my particular use:1) On this rifle the forearm and barrel are a little taller than a normal rifle because that's where the air tank is located. This means the supplied velcro strap is not long enough to wrap the barrel and hold the front end down solid. For my first time using the rest I simply tied a long cloth strap around the rest plate and the barrel.2) the butt end of the stock is a little narrow and is also slightly curved or concave. It has some room to move left or right so again for the first use I just padded the rest with some rubber tubing I had laying around. Once it was solid in the rest I went on with sighting in the scope. Took 2 shots to get it zeroed then a couple more to verify that I was happy with the settings. Here's the best thing about this particular purchase, besides it working well. New it typically cost $120. I was able to catch it on Amazon Prime days recently and picked it up for $72. Needless to say I am very happy with this purchase and the quality of the rest itself.

Almost perfectly functional...
I have a hard time finding any sort of fault with this rest. Sure you can get more features but you'll spend a lot more. For the price you pay you get more than your money's worth.- The Lead Sled (LS) has a very wide range of adjustability. The two front feet adjust up/down. The front cradle adjusts up/down. The entire rifle rest pivots up/down on a spring-loaded wheel mounted at center. If you shoot into a hillside at long range you may well not need any sort of prop to be able to reach the longest-range targets.- The LS doesn't work by clamping your rifle to itself like some 'bench vises' do. Clamping down the rifle can throw off its point of aim and makes it more likely you will apply just a touch of pressure to the rifle to get that perfect placement, which is bad. I clamp the rifle into the LS by *holding* it gently and firing, making sure I don't do anything to clamp down onto it so I get the rifle's result, not the result of the rifle clamped into a vise. I also don't affix the front barrel strap to ensure a free-floated barrel stays that way. Unlike my last bench stand, the LS allows this without issue.- The rear rest is in fact a little loose. I took a thin, ultra-fine sanding pad, sanded-side away from the rifle, and pushed it into the rear rest. The rifle stock form-fits perfectly and snugly. I am sure there are many other ways to skin this same cat.- A single sandbag will work well in the tray (I use yoga bags as they are cheap and have handles built in) but for good measure I also use one bag draped over each of the front legs. Rock solid as a result.Works great with an AR-15 with a 20-rd magazine with the middle sandbag in the tray. If instead you just used two bags draped over the front legs and left the center tray clear it'd be fine for a 30-rd magazine. Its well made and sturdy. My unit was nicely square. Nothing bent out of shape or tweaked. Went together in minutes.

Great asset for AR's
This has worked great for both sighting in and working on the AR's. Haven't needed to use any extra weight, its solid and does not move, even with the bigger caliber bolt action rifles. Weight/bag tray is perfect for holding magazines and other miscellaneous items.

Perfect for the range
A must have for precision shooting. This is a very high-quality item that I’ve used multiple times sighting in my rifles. Easy to assemble and very versatile adapting to different rifles very easily. Recommend this purchase.
