I used these wood slices for ornaments for our Jesse tree. They were perfect! They were smooth on both sides, but kept the natural bark on the edge. I love that they had the grommets already attached! There was even a goody included. The only negative I would mention is that not all of the slices are circles. A few of them were oval, which made them narrow on the sides and prevented me from using them for the circular ornament. Not enough of them were made this way to cause me to remove a star, but it is worth mentioning. There 30 slices and I needed 25, so it worked out.

I spent a lot of time and painted a few, but the disks cracked after I painted them, and the eye hooks cracked so much so that they fell out. I'm disappointed, as I had plans to give these as gifts.

Product is as pictured, and I didn't realize each one had a hook already in it to make them ornaments and it comes with string ro hang it. Great product!

These are a perfect size! They will be great for ornaments for friends and family and for package decorative tags. They have a smooth surface, so decals will be easy to apply.

This pack of 30 wood slices came in a protective zip plastic bag along with a length of hessian cord and a length of striped string.Each of the natural wood slices is approximately 62mm in diameter and 8mm thick.  The cut surfaces are smooth, however the circumpherence is natural bark and therefore rough and it has the tendacy to flake.Each disc has a small eyelet attached to allow it to be hung up using the included cord and string.I found the discs ideal for use with my laser engraver and you can see the results from the pictures. The discs are natural wood and as such the finished product needs a protective coating. In one case I tried linsead oil which darkens the wood and brings out the rings, for the rest I used clear acrylic  varnish which does not darken the wood as much.The smooth faces of the discs would also be good for other hobbies such as painting.

These are good value for money and a great way to create some Christmas decoration keepsakes.There are 30 wooden discs in a useful zipper pouch bag. As they are actual parts of a tree, there is a bit of dust and dirt you would expect to find inside. Each disc has a gold loop attached and there is also brown or red/white twine to tie to the discs. Everything has been thought of.The discs are a perfect size for creating Christmas decorations at about 6cm. I like that the tree bark remains around the edge to create a more rustic look to the finished project.Drawing on these, I found that felt tip pens and markers bled out, so you didn’t achieve any crisp lines to your drawings. Instead, acrylic paint pens allowed for a finer, brighter finish. This might be something to consider if decorating the discs with pens.My children will love making these Christmas decorations as keepsakes for family, which I hope will last for many years. It’s a craft project for a rainy afternoon and a simple, but personal way of creating decorations.

These aren't quite as good as the larger wood slices I got before.The previous wood slices I got were suitable for carving, painting, and other artistic ventures, but these are just a bit too small. The space is very limited and there's not a lot you can do with these, so it's not very versatile.That said, I have tried painting and it was OK. The colours didn't show well and there's a bit of "bleeding" of the paint as well, which is due to the paint type I think, but nonetheless wasn't great.For carving though, these were just a bit too small, so it is extremely limited how you approach this, which is kind of unfortunate, considering the larger ones worked out quite well.Overall, £7.99 for thirty pieces isn't bad, but I would rather pay a little more for the bigger ones.

They come with small metal eyes attached to each disc and two types of twine: one jute, the other red and white with more of a plastic feel to it.They are ‘unfinished’ and I found that pieces of the bark easily fell off, making things a little messy.The metal hanging eyes are very small and I found it hard to thread the jute string through them, it was easier with the thinner red and white string.The surface was easy to write or paint on, I used acrylic pens on mine when reviewing the product and they worked well, with no bleeding into the wood.Available in different sizes at £7.99 for 30 pieces, they are good value.

I ordered these to use on one of my Christmas trees as each year i always have a woodland theme tree and these wood log slices are going to give me the rustic, woodland, nature inspired look i am going for. It's only July so no tree in sight yet but i did try them on one of the trees in my house that had fairy lights on it and they looked the part.You get 30 log slices in total which measure roughly 5-6cm in diameter, they also come with a choice of string, small gold eyelets are already attached so it's only a matter of threading the string through. The logs will slightly vary in size. You can use them for crafting and paint or draw on them or use them to make magnets, always a fun project to do with children. Good value at £7.99 and they can be varnished over afterwards for longevity.
