Awesome HomeKit Camera!
NOTE: I have been using WyzeCams for almost 2 years now, so my review will be heavily revolving around that comparison.I was looking to upgrade due to the fact that Wyze - against numerous customer requests - has zero intentions of making their cameras compatible with Apple HomeKit. Also, I was over dealing with all the little quirks that came with using WyzeCams (random disconnections, tiny bugs with every firmware update etc.), I don’t need special face detection or pet detection features - for my usage all really I need is streaming video and motion notifications. After looking into what my options were I decided to try the Eufy 2k Indoor Camera since it is HomeKit compatible. The 2K camera is made of plastic, but it has a better finish to it compared to other cameras, with a simple, understated but nice looking modern design. Installing the 2k camera is like most others; inside the package you get the camera, a micro USB cables and a standard USB AC power supply. Installation hardware is included, and I like how the camera features a detachable base plate that makes positioning the camera much easier if it’s being wall-mounted. After installing the camera, I downloaded the Eufy security app from the App Store and fired it up.First of all, pairing the 2k camera within the Eufy app literally took seconds to do, and I was up and running in no time. Second (and more importantly) I could see that the Eufy's 2k video quality was much, much clearer than WyzeCams lower-quality HD video. The "live view" video streaming on the 2k was crisp, smooth and never choppy (something that anyone who has used Wyzecams will tell you does happen regularly). Response was quick as well, whenever I went into the camera view it connected with no problem. I have the 2k camera in the exact same location as a WyzeCam that would on occasion take 5-10 seconds to connect to. Speaking of the Eufy app, it has a similar layout when compared to the Wyze app so learning my way around didn't take much time to get used to. I did notice though that when compared to the Wyze app interface, the Eufy app felt much more polished and complete. The best features though for me so far are related to Apple's HomeKit and the Home app. Before, I had to open the Home app to check the status or control any of my smart home products (lights, fans, etc.) and then open the Wyze app separately to check all the Wyze cameras. Because the Eufy 2k Indoor camera is HomeKit compatible, I could now see the camera's live feed directly from the Home app! Also, because the Eufy 2k works with Apple's HomeKit Secure Video, I know all of my video footage is more secure and stored privately. Honestly, I didn't realize how much of an issue having to open multiple apps was until I had the means to view and control everything within one central app on my phone, and HomeKit compatibility makes this possible. So if you're looking for a HomeKit compatible camera that has excellent features, excellent video quality, and effortless setup, the Eufy 2k indoor camera is an awesome choice. Granted, I am still not through trying out all the other features this camera has (person or pet detection, etc.) but as of this writing, I am already a happy customer. I actually went and ordered a second Eufy 2k Indoor camera to replace my other WyzeCam V2, and I'm already planning on buying their 2K Indoor Cam Pan & Tilt cameras to possibly replace my WyzeCam Pans. As much as I liked the low cost and decent features that Wyze cameras gave me, upgrading to the Eufy 2k cameras was an eye-opening experience and a great choice after all. They are only marginally more expensive than Wyzecams but well worth the price!

INCREDIBLE (For the price) - No Subscription!!!
INCREDIBLE - For the price because - NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FOR STORAGE!INCREDIBLE - if you have never bought a remote camera. Learn on this one before you buy a more expensive one. There is so much to learn in the app as far as setting sensitivity, storage, playback, view field... there are a ton of options to customize the experience. The default is fine too - but if you're getting a million alerts every time a car drives past, or a tree branch moves in the wind - you will want to use settings to ignore those detections and set your detection to just the door or porch.Simple camera - doesn't remotely rotate - has night vision and plugs into USB (included)Sure, you need to sign into the app, it's a little clunky, there's a learning curve, playback doesn't always seem to work, events don't always record, I've had one just stop working over time.HOWEVER - I've tried other more expensive brands and they are about the same. I've bought a different brand in-store from Best Buy to watch the dogs - DISASTER.WORSE - Almost every other brand tricks you into needing a Monthly Subscription or Google Storage - someplace to store the footage for playback. This Eufy Camera stores/retrieves the information directly onto/from the SD card (sold seperately - another pain) - But again - the cost savings of not paying $ monthly subscription is obvious and makes this camera my Go-To camera for keeping an eye on my basement and attic for any intruders or critters. Bought them for my mom for her house.I even used it once to direct a friend to find a folder in a box in my attic by directing him through the live camera/microphone "Go left... it may be under that blue bag... try that yellow container - there it is!"The camera in my basement at my mountain cabin for 3 years suffers extreme temperatures... keeps on ticking! It's awesome. Live view anytime and trigger alerts when it detects something moving.

Good camera
This has been working well for me. I haven’t had any real issues so far. The images are clear and the sound is fine as well. It would be nice if it was cordless just so you don’t have to hide the cord, but having the cord does prevent having to recharge the camera which is also nice. The one downside is that even when I put on the option to not detect my cat, my cat still triggers the motion detector. I took off one star for that. I hope that I figure out how to prevent that from happening if possible.

High quality video with no subscription
I picked up the Eufy Security Indoor Cam C120 mainly to keep an eye on our puppy when we’re out of the house, and it’s honestly been better than expected. Writing this review after 9 months of use.Setup was quick, and the app is one of the biggest highlights. It’s clean, responsive, and gives you a ton of control without feeling overwhelming. I already had other Eufy cameras, and this one integrated seamlessly—everything shows up in one place and works the same way, which I really appreciate. What I like most is how customizable it is. You can really fine-tune notifications and detection settings. We have it set to alert and record only when it detects our pet (not people), which cuts down on a ton of unnecessary notifications. The motion and noise sensing have both been reliable so far, and I haven’t had issues with false alerts.Video quality is solid for an indoor cam, and pairing it with the Eufy HomeBase for recording is a big plus—no subscription fees, which is becoming rare these days.Honestly, I don’t really have any complaints. For the price, the features you get and the flexibility in setup make it an easy recommendation, especially if you’re already in the Eufy ecosystem.

SCAM: Current firmware now INCOMPATIBLE w/Homekit
Update 2 (12.5 mo after buying first cam):Not only do these not work with Homekit, but now they no longer work with the Eufy cam app either. They connect, and less than 2 hours after reestablishing them in the Eufy app, they disappear. If I could give Eufy cams negative stars, I would.Update 1 (10mo after buying 1st cam, 1 mo after buying 2nd) :So I bought two of these cameras in the space of a few months, because up to about 6 months ago, they did work on Homekit. But they don't anymore, and Anker (maker of Eufy) says there's no fix. But they are STILL marketing these as Homekit compatible even though they are absolutely not with their current firmware. -- There were HUGE security problems at Anker that necessitate security updates, not updating isn't a safe option. --So they just offered me a refund on one of the two cameras I bought. They didn't say it, but the implication with businesses is generally that they want to increase customer satisfaction. The real problem is that they are no longer the trustworthy, reliable, customer-centered, good-quality-control company I became a loyal repeat customer of in 2014. They're betterv than the worst options, but I can't trust their QC and their policies no longer automatically offer refunds to customers whose products stop performing as promised in less than a year (they USED to refund products that became defective in less than TWO sometimes THREE years).Getting a refund on just one of two defective cameras I've had less than a year ticks me off, but I didn't change the star rating. They may bother me a whole lot -- but that's because they used to be the absolute best company. Now they're below average. How far the mighty have fallen. Et tu, Brute?Original review:This used to be a 4/5 star camera. It wasn't perfect but it was affordable and Apple Homekit-compatible. A few versions of firmware ago, Anker decided not to keep it compatible with Homekit and STOPPED SUPPORTING HOMEKIT despite STILL marketing and selling this model as a homekit-capable device.I can deal with the terrible security problems Anker decided not to address for a long time (feeds of all cameras visible to the public on the web) and a number of other irritating issues. Lying about homekit compatibility is a dealbreaker for me. I'm in the process of switching to a different manufacturer for security cams. If Anker can't keep their promises or advertise honestly, I don't need to give them any more of my money.

Anker’s Eufy cameras are excellent
Nov 2022 - Always trust Anker brand and Eufy series cameras are great. Bought a couple solo cam 2k devices to actually surveillance exterior areas by through window for entry door and balcony. I just placed them near the window and taped it to the base of the window.Motion sensor and night vision works great through the glass/window. Turn off night vision toggle on the app if using through window to avoid led light reflection from the camera. Motion sensing works based on change in pixels in selected area for motion sensing, hence works through the window. Eufy app is super simple for anyone young or older to easily set up, just scan the barcode on the device and you are mostly set automatically. Connecting to wifi router was straightforward.Again I use it for exterior monitoring from inside the house and this camera works great!! Very wide angle of coverage, very clear camera and colors are great as well.Separately got a 128 gb high endurance micro sd card for continuous recording, which will record 6 days of everything and then it rewrites, 6 day cycle. No subscription, one time purchase of camera and memory card. I am hoping to get a few years out of it with 24/7 plugged in. If you have been procrastinating the thought of home security like I was, this is the device to go for!!

Hard to beat for quality and price point
YOU NEED A MICRO SD CARD FOR IT TO OPERATE. fyi Even if not saving recordings.Night vision is outstanding. The app on iOS is great and easy to use... this is as important as the camera and features in my mind. The speaker on it is outstanding as well. We use it in the mudroom to keep an eye on the two kittens at night. The night vision is remarkable. And talking to them is good for a laugh time to time. Motion detection is outstanding as well. Ended up turning it off bc didn't need to know every time the cats were walking around in there even after adjusting the notification frequency to lower. Eventually just turned them off.One Con: The cord would be much more useful if it were about twice as long. 99% of the time your wall socket isn't within only a few feet of exactly where you would like or need it mounted. Measure outlet to mount and get yourself an appropriate length USB cable also. Even with this... it is a tremendous camera with great feature sets!

Nice indoor security camera system.
Have been really impressed with this indoor security camera system. Despite being compact in size it produces good image quality, working well with the Eufy app. Been impressed with both the night vision as well as the motion detection being sharp and snappy.Pretty much does everything I want the only thing that I found lacking is the speaker that this camera has. So the microphone is clear, but the speaker itself is very quiet. This camera does have the ability to sound an alarm when motion is detected but it's not good enough in terms of scaring away anyone. As a result, I found that the two ways talk system doesn't quite work well with this camera because it's quite difficult to hear. But other than that perfect security camera system for my needs but obviously if the two way talk and speaker is important for you then maybe another option would be better.Hope you found my review helpful.
