Teva was born in the grand canyon back in 1984, when a river guide rigged two velcro watchbands to an old pari of flip flops and created a shoe that wouldn't float away. Three decades later, we've grown up into an icon of comfort and utilitarian style Teva is an authentic icon in the outdoor industry. Founded in the early 1980's by a Colorado River guide, Teva pioneered the sport-sandal category. For more than 20 years on rivers, in canyons, and across the trails of the great outdoors, athletes and enthusiasts have traveled the globe comfortably and confidently in Teva footwear. Providing positive contributions to the world in which we play is at the core of everything Teva stands for. The Teva name itself is a Hebrew word meaning "nature" and the hand logo is the Hopi symbol for "friendship" and "water." Teva supports the outdoor athletic lifestyle and remains committed to innovation in outdoor performance footwear, the platforms which carry enthusiasts beyond the offices of the day-to-day and onto the rivers, trails, and canyons of the next adventure.

Compared men's vs
So I'm a woman reviewing these Men's Tevas. I have wide "sausage" feet and normally wear a woman's 9.5 wide in most other shoe brands. I decided to order a pair of Woman's size 9 and a pair of Men's size 8 and compare the two! The woman's were not wide enough and the plastic triangle piece rubbed on my baby toe, however the length didn't seem too small, just an uncomfortable tight fit.The men's size 8 were the winner! They fit MUCH better on my wide feet, and did not rub like the woman's did. Overall they are incredibly comfortable and cute! I would definitely recommend for any of my fellow fluffier footed lady friends :)

Teva built on quality construction is clearly cashing in the name for profit now.
I had a true "original" pair of Teva's literally for decades. They finally gave up the ghost from one run too many in the washer/dryer when the layers of the sole started coming apart. Probably dryer heat doing in the adhesives. Ordered a new pair. Disappointing. They are calling these "original" but they aren't. Quality of construction is not what it used to be. They are doing what so many successful brands have done before. They spend years building a reputation for good quality. Then some corporate bean counter decides to "maximize shareholder value" and keeps charging quality prices while reducing the actual product quality and moves manufacturing overseas. These look/fit o.k. and they will probably be fine for a while which is why I still gave them 3 stars but they aren't the superior quality they used to be. I won't be brand loyal to Teva in future. My next purchase will be whatever is on sale.

Teva's ok but over priced
Tevas are OK and are certainly one of if not the top name in this type of sandal. That said, they are quite expensive. I suggest that CAMEL CROWN Mens Hiking Sandals are even nicer and at a price of 30-50% less. In addition, the soles on the Tevas are not the best. Not as sturdy as on the Camel Crowns and there is a texture on the foot side of the Teva sandals that while it does help prevent slippage a bit, it is somewhat uncomfortable on your feet, a bit abrasive.

Surprise! Value + Quality = These!
I have an extremely weird feet shape. Extra, extra wide sole, my toes spread out even further, like roots from a tree. All my life I have had difficulty with finding decent footwear at a good price. This April faced me with a Spring Break-type walking getaway in one of USA's illustrious parks. My custom-designed ultra-nice minimalist $100 pair was worn through; I faced the facts: I needed a replacement pair, but the company I used couldn't promise a delivery within my necessary date.I went to Amazon, knowing I needed fast shipping. Since I was expecting pain and misery no matter what, I ordered cheap. The pair I selected was less than $30. Pleasantly surprised at the end of the day (we walked 7+ miles), I had no blisters from either the sole or the straps, even though I wore them new and unbroken-in! As the days turned into weeks, I found myself luxuriating in these simple, cheap, toe-loving things. If I said a negative about these, it would be the cross-hatch pattern of the pad. It took a little getting used to, since my custom-made pair hugged my foot like a sloth on its branch. But after the obligatory acclimation, I love them.

Very stylish!! BUY 1 SIZE SMALLER THAN NORMAL (11 get 10)
Just got them so can’t credibly comment on their durability. However, after a bad shipping process (Amazon’s fault), they have arrived and are awesome! The 90s multi color scheme is what turned me on to them and they deliver! Rather comfy for a strapped sandal (I haven’t worn any of these type in years either). Cool neon color velcro, Teva was on the ball with every detail. TYPICALLY I WEAR SIZE 11 or 11.5, I PURCHASED 10 IN THESE SANDALS AND THEY ARE PERFECT

Meh. Definitely not the Tevas I've come to expect
I've worn Teva sandals since the late 1980s in many places, but in my past two pair, I've had issues with delamination, velcro failing, etc., PLUS the pricing at REI is now about $100. So I found these on Amazon for about half of that.Well, you get what you pay for. They are apparently Teva, they do fit well, but they are lightweight. The sole is way too flexible, so much so that I've had instances where the toe of the sole folds back as I walk on uneven surfaces. That indicates that I'm not lifting my feet high enough perhaps, but the fact that the entire sole folds back to easily tells me that these won't last me long, and I hope I don't injure myself wearing them. So I'll wear them at home only and make my older ones survive a bit longer this summer.I love Teva sandals, but not enough to drop $100 for a pair.

Great for walking in the rain
I bought these mostly for walking while it's raining out. Whether it's a light drizzle, a torrential downpour, or it's hot, clear, and sunny, these shoes are very comfortable. I live in Florida so not really cold out. They fit very well, and are nice and snug and secure where I can walk in a normal manner. I've also done brief bits of running and jumping, such as running toward a sudden slope and jumping when I get it for a very high jump. Compared to basic flip flops, these are much more comfortable and better meant for medium and long distances. The size diagram hinted that I was supposed to be size 7.5, but my normal shoe size I get is size 10 or 10.5 so I just got size 10 so basically just get whatever shoe size you normally get instead of using the size diagram.

Really crappy product. DON’T BUY!
While the straps and velcro are good, the footbed is very thin and uncomfortable on most any surface. There is no true sole on the product. Simply soft foam. The toe area has a sharp edge, which catches when walking on most surfaces, especially carpeting and such. This Teva is a far cry from the quality of prior products. I WOULD NOT BY THIS PRODUCT for $25, much less the $50 I paid. Footbed quality of a shower thong.

Some sandals don't work for me and are dangerous
I don't know what it is but some of the cheaper sandals have a habit of hanging at the front and getting caught on things and cause me to trip. These do that. I had to throw them away as they were dangerous. I have other sandals from this brand that are a bit more expensive that don't do that and are fine. I think it's because the base is completely flat. The better sandals slightly curve up, perhaps it's because I am used to them curving up that causes me to trip. But no other shoes/sandals/footwear I have do this. I must have tripped 3 times before I noticed the pattern. I then made a conscious effort to note which footwear I was wearing next time I tripped, it was always these so they ended up in the bin. So one stars as they are dangerous for me and had to be thrown away.

Lightweight and Sturdy
Great quality lightweight sandal although i have had some rubbing when sand gets trapped (to be expected). Much better alternative to flip flops that you can actually walk normally in

suggesting different type
i have quite good experience with teva over years. but this type of foam is not supporting feet at all and can make big troubles on your holiday if you walk over 15 k ( i'm used to walk up 30k). i had such stretch muscles arround ankle, that i had to visit doctor in south america which cost me 400$ coz almost could not walk. in few days time found out what is cause. they went in first bin....

Sore toes
These sandals gave me cuts on the top outside edges of both my big toes after wearing them for a relatively short amount of time and not walking very far. My feet are still sore a few days later. They look nice otherwise.
