Curly hair? To Infiniti and... go no further!
My friend tried using my $150.00 CHI flat iron and told me, "Get rid of this!" She recommended this Infiniti flat iron to me and I am glad she did. This Infiniti flat iron is amazing and it only cost me less than a third of what I paid for my CHI. First of all, my CHI took over a minute to get hot enough to use, and even when it did, it only went up to 395 degrees Fahrenheit. The Infiniti really heats up in about 15 seconds and the higher heat option is great for those with thick hair. There are five heat levels available and it is easily visible at the side panel. The flat iron closes quite evenly so you're not left with random portions of not-straight hair. I like the handle because it is easy to pull together. It is not too tight where you're having to uncramp your hand every now and then. With my CHI I had to squeeze down the handles because the irons were uneven and the awkwardly thin handles left my hands cramped. This flat iron really does leave your hair frizz-free. I have a full head of thick curly hair, and I was able to get great results in about 45 minutes to an hour (which is great for my hair type). I thought a 1.5 inch size might be too small for taming my crazy hair, and contemplated the 2 inch size, but it works so good! With straight or simple wavy hair, I would imagine you could finish your look in half that. I always got sweaty after doing my hair but I found myself having to retouch it, if ever, only once, or twice on a humid day. I guess that tourmaline thing really does work. Compared to this, the CHI was horrible. I took over an hour to do my hair and it didn't even look good; AND I had to retouch it at least three or four times. I have had this flat iron for over four months now and I have not encountered any problems with it yet. I use it frequently, but it still heats up quick. The few times that I dropped it to the floor, I did not see any damage. It is quite a sturdy thing. This flat iron comes with a small case for the top of the flat iron so keep it shut when stowed away. This is great for those like me who rush, and don't have time to wait for the flat iron to cool before putting it away. Though I have not observed the auto shut-off feature with my flat iron yet, I think that safety feature is great. The only thing I should add here is that when you use a flat iron routinely, you should always use a heat protectant spray. I bought one by Thermasilk and I feel it worked well. So to recap... Pros: 1. Price. 2. Quality. 3. Hair is shiny and frizz-free. 4. Quick heat up. 5. Safety feature. Cons: 1. Heat damage.

Awesom!!!
This is my favorite straightener. I've been straightening my hair since I was 9 (I am now 18) because an awful hair dresser cut my hair way too short and it looked awful because I have always had curly hair, and when your hair is halfway down your ears and curly, you look like a hot mess, even at 9 years old. My sister said it would look better if I straightened it, and I have done so ever since. I bought this straightener 5 years ago when I was in 8th grade because my curly-haired friend had one and her hair looked awesome, and also because my old straightener finally quit on me. It works better than any straightener I have used and works perfect for my medium and long length hair. I often used the highest heat setting for my extremely curly hair, resulting in tons of damage, but that was the only way I could keep my hair decently straight through North Carolina heat and humidity. This straightener doesn't work miracles, because my hair did frizz and wave up if it was raining, humid, hot, or after I sweated, but I can't really expect anything else because that's just how it is when your hair is naturally curly. I also NEVER used heat protectant or any hair products. After 6 years of straightening my curly hair every single day, I decided to stop and embrace my naturally curly hair, a decision I have yet to regret. The damage to my hair was so bad I had to eventually cut 7 inches off my hair even after trying to salvage it for 3 years. But because of the way my hair lays, in my opinion, I look incredibly dumb without straightening the front part of my hair, so I always keep a straightener on me for that reason. After having this straightener for 5 years, it was starting to pull my hair and was really disgusting, and since I'm going to college soon, I was also afraid this one would quit on me when I needed it most. I bought the most top rated straightener off amazon, the HSI professional straightener, to replace it. Big Miss Steak. It sucks in comparison to this, and I had already thrown this straightener away. I returned that straightener and bought this one, again, and am as happy with this one as I was with the other. Along with using this straightener to straighten the front part of my hair every so often, I also straighten all of my hair when I get it trimmed so my hair dresser doesn't brush it (we all know how curly haired girls look when they brush their hair) or wash it (we also all know that washing then cutting your hair always results in a disaster). I don't know how top-end straighteners work, like CHI and what not, but I do know the "professional" straightener that I bought sucked. Therefore I will only use this straightener unless I find something better, and honestly, you can't really beat it for the price.

Quick warm up, good quality
I purchased this straightener to replace a different brand that stopped working after 5 years. My old straightener was 1.75”, and with this one I had to choose between 1.5” or 2”. I didn’t want it to be too big, so I opted for the smaller one. My hair is wavy, average thickness and goes to my mid-back. It gets the job done quickly and easily– I only spend about 3 minutes straightening my hair and it’s just enough time to get the frizz and waves out, but not make it stick straight. My favorite feature – how fast it warms up! Within a few seconds I can start using it. I like that it has a safety auto shut off after 60 minutes (for when I leave and wonder “Did I shut my straightener off?”). Fortunately I haven’t forgotten to do that, so I don’t know if it actually does power off after that amount of time. Although I don’t use it, the protector cap is a nice feature. I may use it when traveling, although I usually just wrap the chord around the body of the straightener. If I had a criticism, it would be that it doesn’t indicate the temperature of the first setting, it just says “Power”. According to the instructions the “Power” setting equals 338 degrees, but since it doesn’t show you that on the actual straightener, you just have to remember it. As you press the + button, it does light up to indicate which temperature you are on for the remainder of the settings (365, 392, 415, 455). Also, my old straightener kept the selected temperature between powering off and powering back on. This one always starts at low, so you have to adjust each time you turn it on if you want to use a higher temperature.

Works On Natural African-American Hair
Hello I am African-American and I like this flat iron. It worked well on my natural hair. The flat iron was hot within 10 seconds. The plates were smooth and glided down my hair smoothly. No snagging. There is a sleeve/stand for the iron. But I found it difficult to use with one hand. So I left it on my stand, until I was through using it. I've included pictures to show how well it worked. I passed over my hair only once. I didn't get too close to my roots. It scared me how hot it was. Still getting used to it.I also didn't use any chasing method, so I'm sure my hair could have been more straight. There is a display that shows what temp that the iron is heating up to. There are grooved edges at the tip of the iron that can you can use to squeeze it tight on thin areas of hair. The backs of the blades do get hot. The iron does smoke. The cord comes with a zip tie to gather excess cord. The iron also comes with a 5 year warranty.

Flat Iron Connisseur
I've been through the gambit of flat irons from the cheap to the expensive, from wide to thin and this one is absoltely the best I've ever used. My husband purchased one for me for Christmas and I was reluctant to try it because what does a dude who has very little hair know about flat irons. To my surprise, this was the best flat iron ever! It has four heat settings, which is nice and it heats up very fast and recovers quicly after each swipe. The one problem I have with other flat irons is that they will snag my hair and the coating always starts to fleck away. I've been using this iron for over two year (moderate usage 2-4 times a week), and it never pulls and the coating is still in tact. The 1 inch width is perfect for straightening and curling. I can do spiral curls as well as body wave curls. I had a few girls at the office ask me what size barrel curling iron I use and I tell them I curl my hair with my flat iron. They are floored every time. I loved this flat iron so much, that when my niece asked for one for this Christmas, I immediatly looked on Amazon for the Infinity Pro, found it, ordered it and can't wait to give it to her. We both have very thick, coarse hair with a natural wave that's more annoying than flattering. My hair isn't particularly hard to straighten or curl, so when I straighten/curl my hair, it will stay that way until my next wash (I usually wash my hair every other day). Inifinit Pro works best if you make sure your hair is completely dry and flat iron in small sections.

Love this flat iron
This flat iron in the 1.5 inch is perfect for me. I had been using an old 2 inch flat iron that was cumbersome and did not get anywhere near as hot as this one. I ordered this one based on all the reviews and I am not disappointed. I would say this is the best flat iron you can buy for the price. I was able to straighten my entire head of really long, very curly hair in 30 minutes on the second to highest temp. My hair was professional straight looking. I never actually straighten my whole head regularly. I just flat iron the top some and kind of loosen some of the curl with the flat iron. I haven't even tried to flatten my whole head in years because the irons never did a good enough job....well, this one was amazing..it gets incredibly hot. I love the protective holder too. I pop it in there still hot, no problem. One small complaint that doesn't bother me too much, the paint on the sides of the flat iron where the plates are has scraped off easily. Maybe from being slid into the holder? It works so well at such a great price point that I see it as a none issue. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Good but not as good as older models
Had to replace my old Conair straightener that finally died after many years of service. I tried several different new InfinitiPro models and this is my favorite of the bunch but it's not perfect. I like the plates on this model the most, I find the friction level to be best for me. Not too smooth or too rough. I don't like some other models because the metal is so smooth it flies right off my hair and makes it hard to style. However, the cons for this model are since it's a digital temperature display you have to pick your setting every time, I wish it would default to the last setting you had. I also think the handle is a little too "sharp" aka I pinched my hand a few times. But overall it gets the job done pretty well. I would consider it a winner if I didn't know how perfect the old model used to be.

Good price and very powerful!
I am so floored! This is an incredibly powerful flatiron! I’d been using the same flatiron for years and when it finally died I took to the internet to see what was good. On a few lists I saw folks say that Tourmaline Ceramic plates were good. I was a little skeptical of the claims but it’s accurate. First thing, it’s got 4 heat settings and you can see which one you’re on as you click the button. I love when I know the exact heat I’m using. I saw a lot of claims that tourmaline is so good at making your hair smooth, so when I used it I didn’t put any oil or spray in my hair. I wanted to see what it could do. Surprise! I didn’t need any special spray. It gave me really silky hair and I only had to do 1-2 passes through each section to get it flat. Usually it can take me 60-90 minutes to do my whole head and I was done in maybe 20-30 minutes. This flat iron did a better job than my hairdresser when she blows it out. I am such a fan!

If this product is for use in India then Please do not buy. Electricity needed is incompatible
Product is of high quality and is very good for USA region strictly. It supports only 120V AC / 60Hz - Whereas in India the electricity in general household is 230V AC / 50Hz. In God's name why don't the supplier mentions voltage requirements clearly in the main front hand description ?????? People over here will recommend you to buy a Step Down transformer but I will strongly advise you not to get into this experimenting - You might burn off your fuse/circuit breaker or overheat electrical parts or even smoke the flat iron. Good luck ... Hope you will bless us for this tiny review for saving all the trouble and frustration.
