Fastest kettle ever.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This tea kettle is beyond fantastic. My husband drinks a pot of tea every morning and I coffee. We have two pots brewing. I have never had a kettle before like this. All you do is plug in and fill with water set temp and click. So easy. The water heats and is ready in seconds. The top opens for the tea to be put in and boom instant tea.You can pour the tea into your cup with the bags in the kettle since it’s a separate chamber.Clean up is so easy you lift off the heating base open top and dump tea bags. Then pull out tea chamber and wash. That simple.Remarkable kettle

Where have you been all my life!
Honestly I’m in LOVE with my new kettle! I am a tea connoisseur, and it is just so very convenient to have the ability to set your kettle to the precise temperature each kind of tea requires. Before this purchase, I used a regular electric kettle, I’d boil the water and then I’d have to guesstimate when it wokpd cool down to the right temp for my more delicate teas. This one eliminates all guesswork and is very simple to use. You push a button at the bottom, select the temperature you want, and it will bring your water to that temperature and stop heating at that point! I might be easily impressionable, but this is genius. Also, I wanted to comment on the packaging. I rarely notice how stuff is packed, eager to get to the actual item, but this little number arrived in a gorgeous black box with a user manual looking like a full color magazine! Kinda inspires confidence in the product itself when you see the manufacturer didn’t cut corners on the packaging. They even include a separate full color gorgeously designed card that reminds you optimal temps for different tea types. Thrilled, absolutely thrilled with my purchase!

Great TEA kettle!
Funny story. I bought two kettles intending to keep the one I liked better and return the other. I ended up keeping both. The other one is great for warming up bottles which is why I purchased it, and why I purchased this one. I didn’t realize when I bought this that the middle portion is actually a tea compartment. TOTAL GAME CHANGER. I buy a lot of loose leaf tea and even have the fancy cast iron tea pots from teavana, and yes I said tea pots as in plural. However, they often still sit in the cabinet cause it’s a lot of steps and cleaning. This has been amazing. Now I can heat the kettle and make my tea in it at the same time and there’s now less dishes because of it. Seriously in love. Now I’m the crazy person with two kettles sitting side by side on my countertops since they serve separate purposes. Lol.

A very good kettle
What I like:It heats up very quickly. It will get water up to the temperature in about a minute, up to two if set to boiling. The controls are easy to use. Just choose temp, tap the lever, red is on and after it's done it either goes to blue for staying warm or shuts off. It is easy to tell what temperature the water is currently at with the display. It is easy to add the tea through the removable portion of the lid and I've never had issues with it being too hot trying to add anything through that hole. What I don't like:Many of the pieces stain. Both the bottom of the kettle has spots and the strainer insert has discoloration. The spots inside the kettle have mostly been able to be washed away but they come back quickly.Lower temps will go into a keep warm mode instead of shutting off, but boiling does not go to keep warm. Also, the times it does go to keep warm, it keeps it at the temperature it was set to. Which some may like, but I wish it would only stay warm or have a setting to stay warm only up to a lower temperature, like 120 or something instead of keeping it at the temperature it was set to.Additionally, the stay warm feature causes the heating element to reactivate fairly frequently and such frequent reheating causes a lot of sound and I imagine uses a lot of electricity.

Good if not for major design flaws...
...where to start?1) The tea steeper portion secures from UNDER the top, that means it connects from the bottom. Not a good design. Also, if you use a fine enough tea, it will seep through the holes and into the mix so you're going to need to re-filter it another way. Maddening at times...2) The top is secured by a thin rubber gasket which supposedly holds pressure as it brings the water to a boil. Nope, tea exploded everywhere (mind you, I didn't overfill it) which made for a fun clean-up.3) Lastly the clear switch to turn it on seemed very loose and would like break off or get damage with time.I chose to return it, and get a metal reinforced water boiler (with a better switch), and just add a metal steeper to it. This thing took all the things you shouldn't do to incorporate them into one system, which is a damn shame. Not sure why it's getting so many high reviews...

Nice, but some big flaws
I've never owned one of the fancier teamakers, but all I wanted is to boil water at the right temperature for black loose leaf tea, and the ability to make more than one cup of tea and keep it warm until I could drink it all. This is a really slick tea kettle, the problem is that the "keep warm" feature re-boils the brewed tea – over and over and over again, if it takes you a while to drink your first cup. If you drink tea, you know that's not good for the flavor. And the temperature setting is so delicate I can rarely land on the correct one, which gets annoying. Otherwise it's a very nicely designed tea kettle, but these major flaws keep me from loving it.

Plastic pot ! Otherwise great
The pot is made of Tritan, a BPA-free plastic . If you look up the question " Is the glass borosilicate?" you will see the answer by the manufacturer that says ' it is made of Tritan'. I looked up Triton and guess what !!! It is a kind of plastic.
