It's OK
I was contacted by Sunlu to try out their rainbow filament. They refused to accept a review of less than 5 stars so I purchased this on my own for a completely independent review.I tried this filament on 3 different printers with varying results. On a bowden printer with a long tube I had some pretty major clogging issues. Once I resolved those by lowering retraction and setting temp at 220 I was able to print the unicorn in the pictures. The finish is satin and there are some color inconsistencies seen as banding in the print. Very little stringing and smooth finish. I then printed the pot above at 230 and the print failed due to a clog. Setting it back to 220 resolved the issue. Finally I printed a larger pot on my direct drive converted Ender 3. It printed very well on this machine. 220 degrees and 60 bed (PEI). No adhesion issues on any machine. It takes some time to dial in and prefers a direct drive machine. My biggest complaint is the length of filament bewteen color changes. The unicorn above used 60m of filament to get the nice rainbow affect

Easy to Print and Very Strong
I have been printing standard PLA for awhile and wanted to expand my horizons by tryingdifferent materials. I saw this Carbon Fiber PLA and thought it would be an interesting trial. I printed the tool holder in the photos with my normal PLA settings (20mm/sec first layer, 45 for perimeters, 55 for infill, and 35 for solid layers) on a machine with a direct drive extruder and all metal hotend.Layer height was 0.2mm with a 0.4mm nozzle and an extrusion width of 0.5mm. I also sliced it with 2 perimeters, 3 bottom layers, 4 top layers, and 10% infill. The bed temperature I used was 50C for the first layer and 45C for the rest on a borosilicate glass plate with an application of glue stick. Bed adhesion was excellent without needing to try too hard to remove the finished print. See the photos for a look at how great the first layer lays down. For the extruder I used 240C which would normally be very high but I first tried printing with a hardened steel nozzle that requires more heat for the poorer thermal conductivity. The steel nozzle wouldn't print, but it wasn't the filament, the nozzle was junk. After switching back to a brass nozzle, the filament printed beautifully, just like a normal high quality PLA. The finish is a very flat black due to the Carbon Fiber, almost a gray to my eye, and the look and finish seem almost industrial, which suits me just fine. I did some very unscientific testing (attempting to bend and twist the print with bare hands) and the material seems much stiffer than normal PLA, and it takes a lot of force to break something printed with the Carbon Fiber PLA. While it may not be as flexible or temperature resistant as a reinforced Nylon, it is much more forgiving when it comes to printing, storage, and damage to your wallet! I will definitely be adding this to my stocked materials to use anytime I need a part that requires some structural integrity.

worst filament I have use!
Specs from the product said 210-230, I test all spectrum from 190 to 240 and the filament constantly get clog in the extruder, speeds from 20 to 60mm/s and results are the same, this is not filament, this material is just regular plastic around .5mm accuracy NOT .02mm, dont waste yourr money, if you push any piece of plastic lying around your garbage, probably you will have better results.

Pleasantly Surprised
I wasn't sure what to expect from the 'wood' filament when I placed my order. Since I've used other Sunlu filaments in the past and been generally happy I thought I'd give it a try.My first attempt at printing failed by clogging the nozzle, BUT this was easily fixed by upping the nozzle temp from 203c to 215c (a novice mistake). Since making that change it has printed like a dream! No stringing or awkward print issues. Just the clean vase you see here.I'm now about three hours into the obligatory "Baby Groot" print and it is looking great.I did sand and stain the original and it was almost effortless. If you're looking for Wood filament that is easy to work with, give it a try!

Attractive 'marblized' 3D prints. Some issues with breakage.
I own a few other Sunlu PLA filaments, and have found them to perform consistently and effectively. Of note, the filaments were white or gray, not exotic or special formulation varieties. Initial prints with this marble filament had some issues with clogs and breakage. I would attribute the breaks to complications regarding the clogs, just speculation. After raising the print head heat to 210 (from 200), the clogging and snapping issues disappeared. Either the temperature change did the trick, or possibly the filament issue was based on the initial length of the filament. I've encountered this in other 1kg filaments, where the outer wraps of filament had weird issues, and once I got past the first few windings/wrapping, the rest of the reel printed fine.Appearance of the print somewhat resembles a marble surface, expect to see some speckling of light gray, and some veins can form. Overall, a decent marbled effect, considering you're creating from filament. An interesting departure from the solid color filaments, and matches well with the provided descriptions and images in the product details. I feel it's slightly pricey, but seems filament prices are rising in general.I would definitely consider getting this marble variety PLA filament again. Accoringly, I feel this product is worthy of a high level recommendation.

Adhesion and clogging issues
I wouldn't really recommend this filament. The small darker particles in it caused clogging, and makes it very unpredictable and difficult, especially for larger prints (which almost invariably end up with gaps due to clogging). It was okay for smaller things, as long as I kept an eye to make sure it wasn't clogged again between prints. The other issue is with adhesion. It doesn't stick to the bed as well as other filaments I have used, so I had to use hair spray on the bed to make sure it sticks (using the bed that came from factory with my Ender 3 Pro, which didn't have any adhesion issues with other filaments).Overall It can print okay, but I don't find it worth the trouble. The final look is not that great, it looks more like cookies and cream than marble or other stone.

Problematic
I wanted to like this one. I went to print something, first print got halfway, and then gave me a birds nest. The second attempt, got me about half as far as the first time, this time the filament snapped and didn't result in anything being printed. Trying to take the filament out of my machine resulted in several snapped sections. I was concerned for a moment that I wouldn't be able to dislodge it.Either way...I would not purchase again. Returned.
