Perfect size I was looking for BUT.......
This was exactly what I was looking for. The product description was accurate. My issue was with the assembly. It's not difficult, you just insert the rod into the endcap that has the magnetic which secures it. The problem was I couldn't get the rod into the endcap. The diameter of the rod was larger than the diameter of the end cap. Inside the the endcap are plastic grooves which helps secure the smaller inner rod I suppose, however it was the larger outer rod which was too big. I even tried to shave of part of the inner plastic grooves hoping I could attach the rod but that's when I realized the outer rod diameter was larger than the hole on the end cap. Perhaps this was a one off manufacturing error. This is really a great looking rod and the magnetic end is strong enough for heavier weight fabrics. I would still recommend this product but suggest you assemble it first to make sure the ends fit.Especially since this shorter length rod is hard to find.

Wonderful Don't Hesitate These Are Awesome?!!
These are incredible magnetic curtain rods for our entryway. Ordered the 9-16" set of 4 for the sidelights and the same brand longer set for our front door. Just beautiful!!

Beautiful rods do their job but have to be reset all the time
I bought these for my front door which faces west and they have done a great job of holding the curtain to block the blinding sun! My only issue is that I have to reset them at least once a day. The sides of the poles are different since it's extendable but both of the magnetic holders are the same size so the smaller end just falls out and often! The top peice had an insert in the holder that made it smaller but there was only one insert so the bottom rod just rests in it's holder until someone brushes against it or bumps it.

Disappointed
Would have been fine except I had a lot of screwing around to make it work. Should have taken seconds. Took much longer. The rods are 2 sizes (since one is inside the other). That means the magnetic holder out on the ends need to have 2 with a smaller hole for the small rods and 2 with a larger hole for the larger rods. My package had 3 ends with the small hole and only 1 with the large hole. So I had to carefully drill out one them to make it work. The end piece is plastic so I had be very careful. Also I must have needed a 7/16 bit which is very uncommon. I had to use a 1/2" bit and then wrap tape around the round to make up the difference. Product looks and functions ok but that was not good to have the incorrect pieces in the package.

Strong hold, good looking
I was a little worried when these arrived b/c the packaging was damaged. Turns out, the package was damaged from within b/c the magnets were so strong they attracted to one another despite the wrappings. Good indication for the magnets. I used these for garage door window coverings, so a long width and short length. In succession, they worked great for this. My only complaint and was that I needed maximum length of each rod and the middle was fairly weak and unreliable as a result. I secured the middle where the two rods came together at the width I needed with electrical tape and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for a great solution Just make them longer! The magnets are sure strong enough.

Remove Protective Adhesive from Magnet!
I purchased this item to hang curtains on the sidelights of my front door. The door and surround are steel and I didn't want to drill holes. I ordered this despite the confusing reviews which say "magnets are very strong" and "magnets are weak". The magnets are shipped with a clear piece of adhesive of them which is stamped with "remove protective adhesive from magnet". The magnets are pretty strong with the adhesive, but very strong when the adhesive is removed. (It probably also depends on the kind of metal you attach the magnet to.) The only problem I had was that I had a quantity of two packages (top and bottom for two sidelights) when I had the item on my shopping list and didn't notice that when I moved it to the cart, it didn't move both. Duh. But it looks great. So now I can order another one.

Defective Product
Bought this and received the wrong connecting parts. The "in" pieces connect to the smaller rod, and the "out" pieces connect to the larger rod. We received three "in" pieces, so essentially only one of the rods in this two pack is usable. Lame but honestly it's too cheap to even be bothered with the return process.Buyer beware.

One was broken
This magnetic curtain rod is perfect for my metal front door. Two of them come in a package, but one of them had a broken end cap, and would not stay on the curtain rod, rendering it useless. In addition, there are no directions letting you know that only a specific magnetic end cap will fit on a specific end, as they are made a bit different, so I had trouble at first, with the piece falling off, until I took a closer look and figured it out. The one that was not broken worked perfectly after that.

Works great
Works great, I have been looking for a rod for my front door for a while they will stay in place Street a child slams the door. The magnetic is strong so it doesn't move very happy with my purchase.

Super easy to install and look great.
Easy to use and install. On our doors the rods sit just above our doors knobs, so we accidentally grab the rod once in a while. Otherwise they are excellent.

magnetic curtain rods
I have steel front and back doors and the magnetic curtain rods solved my problem for putting up window coverings. I have also had a couple of my friends order after they saw mine.
