Hurricane Season Must Have
This was the perfect tool I needed in preparation for hurricane season. It adapts to the two different sizes of wing nuts and will facilitate my ability to rapidly attach my hurricane fabric to my house. It quickly attaches to my cordless drill and works well. No problem in my test drives to make sure it worked fine. Appears to be sturdy and should last. The opinions found here are totally mine and were not influenced in any manner resulting from the discounted or free product. It is such a useful tool!
Why is this being discontinued?!?!?!? It is such a useful tool!! No one else seems to make this kind of tool to deal with wing nuts and screw eyes. Previously I engineered a large screw eye to handle the problem of effectively dealing with many sizes of screw eyes. However this little attachment is far easier for hardware that essentially has no wrench or tried and true method until this device was put on the market! I hope the manufacturer will make another run on this tool. I would love to give it as a gif.

Not for wing nuts, or wire nuts generally. BUT looks pretty good for WING NUTS. If ya get my drift.
This item is listed as working for wing nuts. It will not work for 3M 312 or 512 wing nuts. The center hole is too small in several dimensions. Being as these wing nuts are pretty typical, I suspect this tool won't work on ANY wing nuts. Information to the contrary should be clearly posted.I don't see how it will work on regular wire nuts, either, as the tool would needs the wings to work. For whatever it WILL do, it is certainly a sturdy tool.Again, IF it works on a particular brand and size of wing nut, I'd surely like to hear about it.A dawning realization: when ELECTRICIANS think of wing nuts, they think of those little colorful plastic wire connectors. And I have had a tool for applying THESE wing nuts that looked almost like the one under discussion. There's wing nuts. And there's wing nuts.So I'm going to attempt to bump this guy up to 5 stars. IF you're trying to tighten a macine-screw type wingnut, it looks like this one will work pretty well.Thinkin' on it STILL further, this critter looks like it would be good for driving screw eyes.

Get one while you can!
I was using an open ended hook in my drill to install eye hooks and it was okay. This thing is brilliant and works for wing nuts, like hurricane shutters. I live in the Northwest, so I don't have those, but I do have eye hooks for other projects. Simple, effective, and unfortunately discontinued.

Easy fast driver for eye bolts and wing nuts of appropriate sizes.
Can screw in wing nuts or the #14 zing plated eye bolts by just throwing this driver on your drill. I would still recommend a pilot hole, to prevent a split in many quality wood pieces. It has two different size slots.

Perfect Drillbit/Driver for Hurricane Shutter Wing Nuts
Hurricane Matthew decided to scare South Florida, so I ordered these a few days before the hurricane was supposed to arrive. This worked perfectly on my wing nuts for the hurricane shutters. The amount of hours and finger wear and tear these saved was nothing short of incredible. I don't know why it says "DISCONTINUED" on the title. I bought it, got it and used it. Don't hesitate to get this.

I use this for eyes and hooks to screw into windows and frames just the right tool for the job it beats using a screwdriver.

Makes installing and removing shutters a breeze.
My husband desperately needed this tool to install our 2nd floor shutter. Unfortunately, due to hurricane Irma, he had to wait for a new shipment since they were sold out. He has it now and will be prepared for the next hurricane season.
