Does what it claims. I would recommend getting the larger one if your door way is right at 36 in or larger. It included a size chart would should have been in the product description, but I uploaded an image to this review, hope it helps someone.Updating my review, because after I uninstalled it; some paint came off the wall with it. Might be a minor issue, but worth taking off a star and mentioning.

So, when I was diagnosed with RRMS it was devastating. The gyms were closed, no swimming pools, no nothing, stay indoors. This made me think, home gym! One of my first purchases was a pull up bar, but I wanted something that used tension and wouldn't rip the moldings or need to be screwed into anything, as I rent. This seemed a good idea, but I was wrong. The way it adjusts width make the pads rotate, which knock into the door jam if you are using a doorway. So this is unusable in my apartment. Unfortunately, brainfog has made it hard for me to remember how to return this item, and I have since lost the box. I may be stuck with it until I can find a way to offload it or find a use or it with a completely smooth passageway, which I don't have in my apartment. Since I have no way to really use it, I can't give a real review on the functionality of it in use, just the inability to use it in a fricken doorway!

Unfortunately I can't use this as a pull up bar, but a lot of that isn't the product, it's that it's just not the right product for my house. I have an older house, & in order to get it tight enough, it basically cracks the door frame. Any looser though it slips. The ends are also shaped so that it may not fit in every door frame, depending on any moulding you may have. Also, the smaller size does not go up to the size it says it does

The product looks nice and fits very well as advertised. However, the installation in user manual is poorly written and rather hard to follow. After the assembly was completed I couldn’t fix both sides as required: if left side fastener matches the slots, there is no way the right side will. Unless there is some misunderstanding on my part, I give it 3 stars.

Locks in place well. Works in any doorframe sized space. Stick it in place and get to work.

I've had this for a couple weeks now, used daily, and it's very secure. Inexpensive and good quality.

It wouldn't stay up for me, So I returned it..

Great concept on the end pieces, except they won’t fit in a typical door because they are sort of a diamond shape & the thickest part - the middle of the end pieces - doesn’t fit on or beside the door stop that goes around the door frame.
