Turbocharging my 1522+ with more RAM
Needed a RAM boost for my shiny new Synology 1522+ NAS, and this 16GB stick did the trick. Despite not being officially listed as compatible, it worked flawlessly. I saw this stick recommended in a few different places, so I felt pretty comfortable giving it a shot. The memory showed up immediately after installation with no complaints or warnings.I installed it next to the original 8GB, giving me a total of 24GB. This gives me a lot more overhead for running Docker containers than ever before. No complaints, great price, definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Here is your Synology 923+ RAM upgrade!
Just got it, installed it (had read elsewhere to boot up the box with the OEM 4GB RAM first, so I did do that, no idea if it changed anything or not) and as you see from the picture, it is fully recognized, I have no error warning at all, works just like the OEM! HUGE savings! I didn't want to max it out and buy NVMe drives for cache, just overall seems weird to me but this is for backup of files, not streaming any content so I compromised and maxed out the ram. Working great so far!

Works perfectly with Synology DS1621xs+
This RAM works perfectly with my Synology DS1621xs+. No compatibility errors and no problems at all with it, the NAS has been rock solid stable with these installed in it. If you're looking for a memory expansion for your Synology NAS (make sure it supports these DIMMs [D4ECSO-2666-16G] first) these are the ones to get. Synology charge absolutely ridiculous prices for their RAM, you'll be paying four times as much (around $600) for the exact same thing. Get these and save yourself a lot of money. Synology claim that using non-synology parts in your NAS will void your warranty. If you are in the U.S that is against federal law and if you find Synology making any such claims to you you should immediately report them to the FTC. Relevant law: Magnuson-Moss Federal Trades Commission Improvement Act, Public Law 93-637 (1975) specifically SEC 102(C).

Working well with Synology DS1821+
Even with the good reviews, I was hesitant to buy this RAM for my new DS1821+. I have never heard of NEMIX, though I did not want to pay $650+ for the Synology branded RAM, and I could not find any compatible modules from the more well-known manufacturers.Looking at the modules, the boards look well made, and the memory has all matching Micron chips.I ran a memtest on the new NAS with the preinstalled 4GB Synology RAM, and it passed as expected. I then swapped out the RAM and first checked the memory info from the system using "dmidecode --type memory". It showed "Error Correction Type: Multi-bit ECC", "Speed: 2667 MT/s" and "Configured Memory Speed: 2400 MT/s" (the original memory also listed 2400, so this is likely set in the NAS BIOS). So everything is reported to match the advertised specs. When installed, the NAS showed 32GB with no warnings.I ran the Synology memory test three times with the new memory installed, each run reported "util_fhost.c:1196 Memtest passed!" in /var/log/messages.At first, I thought of this as "cheap" RAM, which also scared me a bit, wondering if these were rejects or low-binned modules. Though looking at a few sites, 32GB ECC kits from Micron, Crucial, Hynex, etc., are all in the same price range or cheaper. Of course, none of these are compatible with the NAS, though it just shows that the price per GB of these modules is right in line or even a bit higher than other mainstream manufacturers. So now, I don't think this is cheap RAM, I think that Synology is really just trying to make big dollars off of their branded modules.Note that the modules were not in the hard case packaging as shown in the listing. They were in individual ESD sleeves placed in a padded envelope. They looked to be in perfect shape, though if the shipping company had dropped something heavy on them or bent the envelope in half, it could have been a problem. The other minor concern is if Synology adds a check for RAM manufacturer or part number to DSM at some point. The original RAM reports this: Manufacturer: A-DATA Technology Part Number: AD4B2666W4G19-BSSFThe NEMIX RAM reports this: Manufacturer: 0000 Part Number: UnknownI am hoping that Synology sources RAM from different vendors, so they can't attempt to lock this down, as they are starting to do with their upper-end NAS devices regarding disk drives. Since my unit is not enterprise-class, hopefully, the worst they will do is add a warning that it is unsupported. I can switch back to the original RAM if I need support (on a non-memory relate issue). At this point, I am quite happy with the purchase. I have never had a RAM module go bad on me once it was installed and passed testing, so I am optimistic these will serve me well going forward.

Perfect match for Synology NAS devices.
I dropped the 32 gig kit in my Synology DS923+ and you'd never know that the RAM didn't come from Synology. But more importantly: my NAS doesn't know that they didn't come from Synology. No warnings about unsupported RAM. No delays in boot time. No blips on the memory check. Pure plug-and-play with this kit. And the performance difference between 32 gigs and the stock 4 gig stick is palpable.Yes, they're sort of expensive for slow-ish 32 gigs of DDR4. But with ECC on the modules and without DSM complaining about hardware, they're absolutely worth the premium you're paying for them.

NOT a true KIT or listing image of product
It comes in INDIVIDUAL sleeves that are "sealed", not in a hard case KIT as shown in the listing, which honestly is not cool. I say "sealed" bc this is obviously not factory or OEM sealed, anyone with a sealing machine or in this business can do this, which can lead to mismatched chips, even though they are the exact same model number, doesn't mean they are the same (Factory, mfg date, etc. all can make a world of difference for pro and enterprise microchip components and users). Even having the same model number, it never means that they were manufactured the same way which can throw everything off and make people go crazy troubleshooting when the listing is straight misleading. It defeats the ENTIRE purpose for those of us buying memory as a kit. There is a reason we are trying to buy it as a true kit, and not as a "wholesale bundle" which is what this listing should make clear, even if the chips sent to people end up working out.

Worked with my Synology 923+
These memory sticks worked with my Synology DS923+ if anyone else was wondering. The first time I booted up the NAS I got the infamous blue blinking light. I had to reseat the memory sticks in order for it to finally boot up properly.

Works with Synology DS723+
This memory works perfectly in a Sonology DS723+ without any warning, it just works. I removed the 2 Gb that came with the unit and transfered it to an other unit and put that 16 GB in and power it up and came online with 16 GB of usable memory and no warning about incompatible memory. Thank you!

Great ram bad experience
Ram came and worked as expected. Paid for expedited shipping but received it in same time frame as regular shipping through DHL. Waste of money which I paid cuz I needed it quickly.
