This is a nice sturdy mat to keep me from slipping in the shower. Though I have several issues with it:1) even after airing out outside for 2 days and two weeks of use, this still STINKS! My entire bathroom smells strongly of chemically plastic odor.2) it sits too flush with the floor of the tub, so the tub holds a thin layer of water and any hair or dirt gets stuck under it, which of course you see since it is clear.3) one end still won't uncurl, despite rolling it up the opposite way, hanging it to dry, etc.This gets three stars for how sturdy it is and it works to prevent me slipping, but the issues I have with it are definitely significant.

I unrolled it and soaked it as instructed. I even soaked it for 24 hours and washed it with soap, but the chemical odor was so strong it filled my whole upstairs . The bathroom was unbearable to be in with the smell. I bought this to use with my 15 month old, but I threw it away. I could not put my child in a tub with something that has a chemical smell that terrible. Who knows what could be leaching into her bath water.Just awful.

I purchased this mat three months ago, after reading all of the reviews. As with most bathmats, reviewers complain about the smell so I thought, no problem, I could live with it for a few days. Now three months later, I am still overwhelmed by the smell. I love the mat otherwise.It goes to the garbage when Amazon delivers another brand tomorrow.

The smell. You read the reviews and think it can't be that bad.... Nope. Wrong. The smell took over the whole upstairs. Overpowering. The suction cups don't stick and it keeps curling back. Would really think before buying this. The color is pretty though and I kept it with hopes the smell will eventually fade, or if I'm being honest, I was too lazy to send back. Ugh. Read this review and get a different one. Your welcome.

I really like this is a hard plastic and does secure to tub with suction cups, makes it easy to clean! I had purchased a mat from Walmart that was soft and cushiony but it was horrible would not stay in place and very difficult to clean

When it arrived the off gassing made my bathroom stink for a few weeks. Then a few weeks after it began to stain. Don't know what stained it... shampoo? Cream Rinse? Anyway it stained and looks dirty. I will probably replace it ... surely am not happy with it.

I've purchased two of these now - one for my son's tub at home and another to keep at my lake house for my son to use when we're there. It's impossible to keep an 18 month old from walking around in the tub and this helps keep him safe from slipping. The suction is great and it is very easy to clean. I've had my first one for almost 6 months and I'm very pleased with it.

For the price, the mat works great with the suction and for easy cleaning. However, it has a really strong stench (as others have mentioned), I was just hoping by chance that I would receive one that didn't smell. I soaked it in water and machine washed it. Still, the odor has not subsided. So I left it in the garage.. hoping it would disappear in a few days. I'll try to soak it in vinegar the next time.. but my gosh, the hassle of riding the smell and it becoming your new bathroom scent! Pretty horrid; can't get past the scent at all.. so it'll sit in the garage until I have a solution.
