Spanish Boneless Serrano Ham Gran Reserva by The Black Hoof

I’m was surprised by that mean is so so nice🙂 that was my first time ordering Spanish meat and did see other people complaining about quality saying is not great and all but is not true the meat is absolutely lovely the taste is so nice I’m definitely recommending and be order again 👌

We are lovers of Serrano ham and had a fantastic joint from a different supplier for Xmas and thought when finished we would buy another. This was what we bought and what a waste of money, after opening it, most has been cut off as it is too hard to eat or really greasy and fatty. It was more expensive that our previous supplier too, so do not waste your money as we have. We are really very disappointed that the supplier is selling it as it really is poor quality. Amazon need to check out this supplier as reading reviews I see we are not the only customers complaining.

Fantastic. Sliced it thinly on our slicing machine. Real reminder of past holidays. Got better and better. Would recommend and would buy again.

After reading the reviews about this product, I thought it can't be that bad and worth a gamble as there are mixed reviews. Bought two one for myself and one as a present. The person who I gave it to loves it. I quite like it too, except I do find it on the fatty side however it does get leaner towards the thicker side of the meat. the flavour however is to my expectation of a Serrano should be. I do think it is value for money as undoubtedly you would most likely pay double or more for a meatier leaner less fatty cut. It is flavoursome..

You need two essential items to enjoy this to the full: a very sharp quality knife and a good bottle of rioja. Then you'll be all set for a quality culinary experience, And keep some bandaids handy because you must slice this very finely to experience the quality of the meat. Also, do plenty of fine slicing before you work your way into the wine, or you will need the bandaids, So this is not the very best you can get but for the price it's very good ,but fine slicing is essential or in thick pieces you'll think you are chewing some kind of weird gum. Recommended.

Gave me impression of being a 'rushed' job and a product prepared for a non-Spanish market. Apart from the excess fat (which can be cut away), the meat itself was very salty and rather soft and didn't have the flavour that I was expecting. Can't really complain as the jamon is perfectly edible and the price should have been a sufficient warning. Next time I'll go for something a bit more expensive. Don't believe the old 'pata negra' deserves the fame (not commensurate with the costs) that it has but there are many other brands that deserve attention.

Disappointed, very disappointed. Never again.

Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist top ... wenn man den schinken ausgepackt hat sollte man ihn ca 2 tage an der frischen luft atmen lassen ... er entfaltet dann seinen typischen serranogeschmack ... auch wichtig ist ihn mit einem extrem scharfen messer zu schneiden ... ich habe mir extra für meine brotschneidemaschine ein neues messer gekauft ... man muss sagen auch wenn diese maschine nicht so dünn schneiden kann wie ich es gerne hätte ist der schinken zart und zergeht auf der zunge was für die gute qualität spricht ... ich werde definitiv wieder kaufen

Il prosciutto è una vera prelibatezza! Davvero squisito, una delizia per il palato. È stato un regalo di compleanno...per me...che ho la Spagna nel cuore. L'ho apprezzato davvero tanto. Consiglio a tutti di perdersi nel gusto di questo fantastico prosciutto. Un taglio importante, da condividere sicuramente, ma che conto di finire presto perché il suo sapore è irresistibile, il profumo ottimo, la stagionatura perfetta. Sono estasiata!!! Grazie grazie grazie.
