Compatible with Ford (E150 E250 E350 Vans 1992-2013 Econoline Super Duty) Cargo Door Latch Release Cable - Premium Replacement

These were used as a direct replacement for 97 E-150 rear passenger door. The original ones are plastic and both broke at the same time. These seem to be of great quality and I hope I never have to install them again. It took about 2 hours to do with 2 people. You need patience and someone that has small fingers. I did not remove the latch to do this as it was difficult to unhook the lock and actuator. There really are not videos out there on how to do it. The long one goes on top and somehow has to bend all the way back down to attach to the license plate latch and the short one is easier and goes to the interior latch. Deep breaths and it might happen for you.

my door handle had been difficult to open, until one saturday when I was working it just wouldn't open anymore. I went on youtube to try and figure out how to repair it myself when I found these parts. I ordered them and received within a couple days. They weren't the easiest things to install but not due to the parts but the van doors themselves. Got them on within 30 minutes and they work better now than the original ones ever have since I owned the van (almost 13 years). Don't know how much a shop would have charged but I'm sure I saved myself a bunch of money. It would be nice if ford used these as oem parts instead of the plastic thats going to break eventually.

Used these to replace the broken cables on the rear doors of my Excursion. Cables are a little long but are a suitable replacement.

Both outside handle was too long and did not work.Loved the quality.

Poor design & quality. Cable materials are inflexible and cause binding. OEM cable is thinner & finer. This is thick & stiff. Would not operate outer latch. OEM are on right for comparison. Replaced original cable ends with Dorman kit & reinstalled. Work fine now.

Both cables are long enough to get the job done and because they are made of medal at the connectors are not likely to break again. Cable was easy to install.
