Hard to find - A must
Well made : hard to find swivel - Male/FemaleJust make sure you apply a anti-seize spray , so the coupler doesn’t seize up…unless your hose and nozzle is brass as well.

Works perfectly
I got this to go along with an ErgoTech nozzle I got on eBay. The nozzle is the type I use at work and I love them, but the threads are NPT rather than GHT. This fitting allows me to use it on a garden hose. It also provides some swivel capacity, but the ease with which it swivels depends on how tightly you thread the hose in. That's my one gripe, I with the rotation was more free regardless of how I thread the hose in. It's just a minor thing, bit otherwise the fitting works perfectly. In the included photo, you can see the fitting just above my left hand.

Narrow bore but otherwise good
No problems so far. It is working as expected, fit and finish is very good but as others have mentioned the bore is somewhat narrow. Price is a little high especially given this issue, but it is the second cheapest on here at the time of review.

Perfect for the flush port on a Sea-Doo!
This adapter was perfect for use on my Sea-Doo flush port. The Sea-Doo has a plastic flush port, and over time the plastic threads will start to smooth out with repeated use (you flush the motor every time you use in in salt water). Because the Sea-Doo is a female adapter, you have to twist the hose to get it to fit in, or make a shorter "extension" hose to twist on. Either way, it's not a good method. By using this adapter, I can simply install the male end into the Sea-Doo, and because of the swivel on the female end, I can simply use the swivel to tighten a hose. The swivel is very easy to turn so it's effortless to attach the hose to it.It's also a brass fitting so it's very durable and won't be affected by salt water.

Does not swivel once torqued. Turns with force only.
I fully expected this to swivel not just rotate under force. Buying online is hard enough but when you are splitting hairs over what a word means. you really can only depend on seeing the right review. I bought this solely to put a swivel between my garden hose nozzle and the garden hose. I hate it when the hose wraps all around your feet, a swivel makes it so much nicer. in that context a swivel would turn freely as you pulled on your hose. This will not turn unless you make it. About the same effort required as untwisting the hose holding the nozzle. I asked a question about how to make it work and got an answer that maybe was not complete but provided enough information to determine how to make it work. The piece i ended up buying to make it a workable solution was the "Anderson Metals Brass Garden Hose Fitting, Connector, 3/4" Male Hose ID x 1/2" Female Pipe" The items fit and finish are a 5*. Since i am not putting it on a shelf to admire its gets a 2 star for usefulness.so my hose nozzle will not swivel but turns with effort at about $13, total waste of time, money and energy. why don't they make a swivels for this purpose?Anderson Metals Brass Garden Hose Fitting, Connector, 3/4" Male Hose ID x 1/2" Female Pipe

Perfect Fit
The Dixon Brass Fitting Adapter was a perfect fit when nothing else would. I used it to connect PVC pipe, PVC fittings and a garden hose altogether. Solid connection with no leakage.

Great quality and worked perfectly.
Very high quality. I would give it 5 stars but thought 10 bucks was high on the price. I used this as a hose adapter on a house water filter. Pipe thread male going in to the filter. Female hose thread.

The swivel did not leak
I am pleased with the adapter. It seems to be a high quality part and most importantly, the swivel does not leak. I was able to tighten the hose to the fitting using the swivel feature with no problem. I don't mind paying a few dollars more for better quality.

The bore of this fitting is terribly small!
Fittings are not just about the outside; the inside is where the work happens!I can't believe I'm writing about a fitting, but if you're like me, you were looking to adapt a standard garden hose female fitting to a male 3/4" National Pipe Thread. The whole reason most people would be using a fitting like this is to have a substantial flow through the fitting. Otherwise, we would be buying the cheap and fast tiny "Y" and "T" fittings sold in the big box stores that have a tiny little opening in the fitting. This is the problem. The holes through most garden hose adapted fittings are tiny, way too small. When you have to deliver a lot of water, this is frustrating and a huge time-waster to have to be limited to a tiny little hole through fittings! So, imagine my surprise when I received this heavy, large brass fitting and found it had a dinky little 1/2" hole in it! In the photos, compare it to the male fitting sold by the same company and you can see how much restriction this causes.Thankfully, I have a lathe and was able to machine the hole to the correct dimension for high flow; simply to match the size of the hole (bore) in the male fitting. I understand that most people won't have this capability, and no manufacturer would want you to machine the bore of their fittings, but, after all, this is a garden hose under a measly 40-50 PSI, and the worst thing that could happen is it could break. The important note here is if you are buying this for a high flow device or purpose, you'll have to machine the fitting to a larger bore, like I did. Why the manufacturer would make the female bore so much smaller than the male means their engineer was asleep on the job.Once I did this, the fitting performs in superb fashion.

Garden hose adapter
good product, didn't like the idea that the inside had such a small bore. I'm using 3/4" garden hose and I didn't want any restrictions and the bore is only about a 1/2"

Reduces flow
Not mentioned in the description is that the bore reduces the ID flow from 3/4" to 1/2".
