I'm using this for a Keezer temperature controller thermowell. It threaded in nicely into some standard NPT piping which I filled with water. My keezer temperature has been much more stable, especially when opening and closing it frequently.

Ordered this because I have a 3/4" bulk head this was supposed to thread into. My fault for not seeing that this was mnpt. If seeking a 3/4" nominal OD thread go for an npt adapter with a 3/4" fnpt on one side.Regardless of the threads this part appears well made and it is a light weight 97g. Will provide update after my adapter comes in and I use it for making kombucha.

All dimensions are accurate. Fits in a 7/8" hole just like any other NPT fitting. Well finished and the plastic gripper holds onto a standard stainless probe just fine. A little too big to clamp onto a therocouple wire without a bit of tape buildup on the cable.One issue I had is that for direct use in a brew pot without a bulkhead adapter, it will leak unless you first wrap the threads with a heavy buildup of Teflon tape to prevent seepage from the threads. Be sure to use a stainless washer on the outside and silicone seals on BOTH sides and a nut with an inset to prevent the inside seal from squishing out.Fits fine in a bulkhead fitting designed for male NPT (sometimes called MPT) threaded fitting.

Bought this item to use with the 6mm DS18B20 temp sensor probes because the picture shows inner diameter to be 6mm. Turns out inner diameter measures close to 7mm.The difference in diameter is not going to allow for sufficient heat transfer from thermowell to the temp sensor probe, so going to try to make it work by filling the inner hole with heat transfer paste like that used for heat sinks on integrated circuits.Other than the difference in the advertised inner diameter vs. the actual inner diameter (which is a big deal to me), the object looks well made.

This is not for a nut fitting, it is for a pipe connection which is 3/4 NPT (National Pipe Thread). One of the few that come with the Cable Gland attached. Works well.

This thermowell is the right size for installing in a regular 3/4” NPT tee (which I got at a big box store). The end of the well just barely sticks into the fluid flow path. It’s nicely machined and I expect it to work. I’m only giving 4 stars because the NPT thread diameter is a little too small. It goes too far into the tee before getting tight. If I was using this in a pressurized system I’d be nervous about it leaking. I’m using it in a nonpressurized system and I’m confident that thread sealant will take care of it.

The product came well packaged with no internal/external damage to the packing but the item was damaged inside. So it would appear the item was damaged prior to being packaged. A replacement item is being sent so I guess we will see...
