Good on the go laptop.
I bought this to replace my 2012 MacBook Pro. I wanted something that would be portable that I could take to client meetings. The SurfaceBook 3 meets my needs. The fact I can take just the tablet (monitor) to do a presentation is a real convenient feature. This little computer really provides everything most people would need.

Disappointed 😡
Seller sold me a used laptop that was purchased by a previous buyer. I called Microsoft help desk because the PC kept shutting off only to find out it was registered to another company. I will only purchase PC’s from the manufacturer next time.

Woefully inadequate as a laptop, but makes a great tablet
An employer provided me with a Surface Book 3, I did not purchase from Amazon. I also have the 32GB RAM model. The thing about this machine I like is the screen and the detachable base. I do have many complaints about it. It overheats regularly. There just isn't enough airflow for how much processing power it has. Another thing that annoys me is that there are no USB ports in tablet mode. The other annoyance is that when you bump the base in laptop mode, the keyboard and USB devices that are connected stop working for a few seconds, so you are basically forced to keep it on a flat sturdy surface. If you don't have to type a bunch, or are looking for something primarily to use as a tablet, this is good. If you are looking for a good laptop that can double as a tablet, stay away.
